wow probably the best, detailed video that I found on the subject. I was thinking of creating a small seat bump to help and that led to this video. I wasn't sure where to put it on the seat. Luckily I ride Yamaha so perfect video!

As a beginner, I have felt SO unstable in my upper body and frustrated because I didn’t know how to fix it. I’m super excited to use these tips! One suggestion: please do videos on how you access your foot controls while maintaining the proper position. Also, shifting for beginners in a way that’s best for the bike as well as riding performance would be awesome!

The point about stucking in between standing and sitting position is so true for me. I often find myself in that and its very out of control position when whole body is tense. Graat video as always. Thanks!

Thanks for the video. I've started to reinforce my attack position with these tips. I still need to get used to having my knees locked in, as I find difficult to manuever the bike on single track
@CoachJames749
@CoachJames749 3 ай бұрын
Awesome! I find that keeping the knees locked in is easier if you really manage your feet, as they are the foundation. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching.

I think i’m getting stuck in that in-between position you mentioned! Another excellent video coach …thanks. I will never get sick of geeking out on technique. I just wish i knew about some of this stuff sooner. what about a video on breaking bad habits? There’s a bit more too it than just knowing the correct way …I’m really struggling with undoing years of bad form 🤦‍♂️

Moving the levers in actually allows for easier one finger actuation/modulation. This helps ADV riders deal with prolonged technical (slow) riding. I'm riding a DesertX now.

what can i practice on the track to learn to keep my knees back while standing on the bike? I find myself leaning them forward before landings or when i just jump. do i just slow down and focus on the knees or do something else?
@CoachJames749
@CoachJames749 9 ай бұрын
Focus on your feet first! They will set the foundation for the knees to fall in place. Make sure your on the balls of your feet, and that the weight is in your heels, and the knees will almost naturally just fall into place where they belong.

What is your position riding in deep sand ? I was taught to sit back on the seat to weight the back tire What are your thoughts?
@CoachJames749
@CoachJames749 9 ай бұрын
Generally speaking, I’m riding with a bit more bend in the knees, so that my pelvis shifts back a bit to weight the rear end.
