lostinactionable depends on whos riding the 250 n whos on the 450. I did very well racing my kx250. First corner 9 outta ten of my last races on it. Considering its a ten year old bike right there with new technology.

Ernie Desjardins how many cycles an engine has has nothing to do with rpm. 450s redline below 12k. Engine capacity does matter, as a 450 will make peak torque much sooner than a 2t.

I rode a Kx250 before and I felt extremely uncomfortable I think it's the weird seat, it feels like your sitting real low and standing up is harder too because of that. You can't lock your knees on the seat or anything.

Pedro Gomes I think he’s still trying to figure out how to ride a 2t, it’s definitely more technical on those older 2strokes, the modern 2strokes are very linear esp the high performance Enduro bikes, haven’t ridden a 250 SX for a couple of years so can’t comment on a 17 KTM SX but those older SRs even Stewart had trouble with that model, sure LC have it dialled for RV, just takes more time to get dialled RV hasn’t really been on a 2stroke since his mini bike days in terms of racing as a pro. He could definitely be more aggressive in the corners staying on the pipe and powering it right through the corner, here as like the 4t looks like he’s falling off the pipe and then trying to power out like a 450, there is little engine braking on a 2t imo he should be much more aggressive in the corners to carry speed out of them, he’s usually very good on corners or was back when he was racing full time. Just seems like he’s feeling his way, not being critical, the SR might be a beast, some of those Factory bikes were setup back in the day to be quite brutal which riders wanted but then and pros of that era could handle that, that’s what they rode all the time. It’s a sick looking bike though. I’m loving the chrome look as a one off.

Can everyone just accept that we are all different in the way we like our bikes to feel? I ride a 450 and my dad rides a 300. A 450 just feels way more natural to me and I am more comfortable being able to do the things I want to do while riding.

Watching this again, after he has done the YZ125 video... You find that he was just taking it easy here, by A LOT! I mean he was just turning the most basic of track footage. Not to be a douche. But after seeing this i understand why he tought the 250 2 strokes are slow and thats because he cant ride them. Always in the wrong gear and powerband. He Rides a 2 stroke like a 4 stroke and that wont work.
