Thanks for the excellent video! Not checking their mirrors sufficiently while riding or even adjusting them before pulling off. Not riding with their headlights on, despite it being illegal to do so in some countries. Not checking oil/coolant levels. Setting (older carburetted) bikes petcock (fuel tap) in the "RESERVE" position instead of "ON" when there's plenty of fuel in the tank = no warning before running out of fuel. I could go on and on but these points are minor compared to those mentioned in this video.
Riding without any training and not understanding you have NO EXPERIENCE (and no, your friend, father, brother, sister, mother etc etc who also learned with no training doesn't count)! SOOO many people here think braking is always the rear brake. Hint - why do you think the front brake disc is bigger than the rear? Had to loosen and free up the front brakes on a few bikes for people because they just don't use them - accident waiting to happen due longer stopping distance in emergency with rear brake only and a front (the primary brake) brake that won't work properly due lack of use!

For the signal light issue, you just have to practice yourself in using it every time you turn. Once your brain gets use to it, your body will instinctively just do it. You’ll just be surprised after “hala, kusang gumalaw daliri ko. “ Kahit walang ibang tao sa kalye o driver na nakasunod o kasalubong, kung liliko o magchechange lane o oovertake, mag signal light ka. It is another way of self discipline. Based on my experience anyway. And love how sir caco rev the bike 🤣

Great informative video! Can i please suggest to make a video for riders on how to properly use the road and how to ride with discipline? To be honest, most MC riders nowadays are becoming annoying (no offense to others who have discipline) on the road because of their lack of discipline. They always want to be ahead & doesn't want to stop and they don't know if they're becoming an obstruction to other vehicles, don't know how to overtake properly (they will always cut you), basta may maliit na space, sisingit at ipapasok parin... especially during a stop light.. laging gustong mauna silang lahat...sorry po, but that's the sad reality of our roads today. Thank you.

Nice video and some solid advice. Chain cleaning: I clean my chain before I wash my bike and the relube after wash. I use Kerosene to clean it and then w90 oil as my lube - it collects less sand and gunk and doesn't spray off too much. Both products are VERY cheap too. I can't get chain brushes on my island (I know, right) so I use a baby bottle brush! You can wedge it between the swing arm and the chain whilst you turn the back wheel. They're also very cheap.

I learned the side stand the hard way. First time parking the bike I thought the clack I heard was from the side stand, but instead it was the peg that sprung back after I pushed it up. Luckily I had enough power to lay the bike down rather carefully

Agree with all points. I’d also like to add that it’s good to make it a habit to get visual confirmation that your side stand is down before leaning your bike. Just depending on feel and sound might not be enough sometimes. You can also check the surface you’re going place it down on while you’re at it.

The 1st point about gear is very important. I got swiped by a car at high speed just a few hundred metres from my house. Luckily i was wearing all my gears and can go to work the next day. The whole front end of my bike was gone, but I survived with only minor scuffs. Wear your safety gears guys!

I highly recommend a bike with a side stand sensor, saves that aggravation, but on a similar line, I switch my bike off by turning the key to the off position, however on a couple of occasions I have accidentally also pressed the kill switch, either while reversing the bike in to the garage or while putting it on the centre stand. On returning to the bikes they have failed to start and I have been left scratching my head as to why. Clearly a mistake more commonly done by new riders.

I downloaded training materials from the American Motorcyclist Association and strictly followed everything on it from page one to the last page. I also watched videos on KZbin from different motorcycle trainers and riding associations. I also read the owners manual of my motorcycle. I only rode my motorcycle within our subdivision for a month. After a month of actual riding in our village, I started riding outside. Nakakadagdag kompyansa if you train hard before riding into public roads.

A. Overloading. Either excess passenger. You only have 1 extra set of foot rests for a reason. Excess cargo. Most notorious excess cargo practitioners I have seen are delivery riders. B. Dangerous accessories Those “snap on” awnings. I’ve seen bikes crash because there’s a strong cross wind… or a bus passed by. C. Protective Gear Required protective equipment isn’t just a helmet. Closed shoes are also required. And for a reason. I’ve seen lots of missing pinkies in the ER. D. Distance doesn’t matter Even if you are a member of DILAG, you are still required to wear PPE. Yes, that includes 1centimeter from your point of origin. E. Anywhere I’ve seen complaints that claim “we’re in a backroad, remote village; not mabuhay lane!”. Fun fact: even if you are on top of Mt. Apo, you are still required to follow motorcycle laws. And all laws for that matter. And yes, even if there is no Oplan Sita, enforcers can and will “sita” you. F. Many more.

My air-cooled engine bike actually overheating too much. i need your advice to solve it.
@joemann79712 жыл бұрын
Take a spray bottle full of water and spray your engine with it 😜 Jokes aside, it probably would work, but you'd run out of water pretty quick. You should probably check the air fuel mixture. If the engine is either too rich or too lean, it can cause it to overheat. This is can happen even with liquid cooled bikes.

I agree with everything but the gear bit. I wear full leathers every time I hit the road, but it is not realistic wearing full gear in the summer when you are going three miles away to have a coffee with a friend or run an errand. Just imagine arriving to the venue and then staying in your gear in 100º for hours to come. Just not possible.
