These superbikes today are just insane! the sheer level of electronic aid and control they have available seems to me like the bikes have most of the things that modern cars have! Traction control, ABS, wheelie sensors, fuel injection, adaptive suspension, multiple riding modes, some have cruise control... its so AWESOME! :D

I've got one and it is my all time favorite. Of the last 2012 Panigale.now the new Panigale. I'm starting a collection of Ducati's. 2010 street fighter 1100 another fast rocket.Last of the dry clutches, that i do miss. Rides are different too. cheers

Hi everybody can you please give me some suggestions on how to verify with videotape and a go pro hero 4 silver my 1299S when it intermittently and randomly and unexpectedly stalls out? Every time i take it to the dealer they said they can't duplicate the problem and Ducati of North America video taped my bike with no problems. But my 1299s still stalls out on me in congested stop in go traffic all the time and when I feather the clutch and drive between 0 to 15 mph on the street or freeway or on the street.However I'm an amateur and I just purchased a hero 4 go pro silver camera do you have suggestions on how to mount it to the 1299S gas tank ? I'm concerned with losing the camera what type a suction mount the go pro hero 4 camera? What I should use and what can I use in case the suction loses its grip to keep the camera from damaging the motorcycle and the camera in case it falls thanks advance for everything. The dealer said prove the 1299s is stalling out with video verification because they claim everything is checking out A ok on the computer test sheet with Ducati engineers and Ducati video tape that they won't show me What would you do? Thanks in advance for everything.

lol, appreciate the input man. Yeah I wasn't sure because the S has an extra control on the left handlebar, which he referenced in this video. On Ducati's site they have wheelie control listed for the standard 1299, but they also list full led's for the standard which is incorrect. I'm getting the 1299 when it hits the floor but I'm trying to decide between the standard and the S. Anyway, thanks!

Amir Ebrahimi NP.. Then go for the S.. Panigle: comes without ther Ohlins EC, its running a 50mm black-anodised Marzocchi damper.... Panigale S: Comes with semi-active Ohlins forks and shock and ohlins steering damper, forged alloy wheels, a fully LED head light and much Carbon the Electronis can be altered on the move on the left handle bar.. Panigale R: Same Electronics as the other but uses a Mechanical ohlins, and has a adjustable swingarm pivot point.. Extra Carbon, akra exhaust slip on and light weight battery.. Panigale baseline: £16,695 Panigale S : £20,750 Panigale R : £28,750 So the price is in UK but this means the R version is £8,000 more expensive for what i ask??? Here i atught you get Magnezium rims for that price but you dont as far as i know extra carbon and light weight battery and akra slip on with the mechanical ohlins can you justify £8,000 i dunno think so Maybe there is somthing that has slipped my knowledge at this point but 8K is alot more..

Sounds like they couldn't make it beefier in the low/mid range and retain the top end with the displacement they had. Japan realized that about 10 years ago -_-. Sounds like they made a bunch of great improvements to it, really a good bike now, not that you went wrong with the 1199 or anything, but seems quite a bit more refined from pretty much every angle.

low down TQ is not your friend on the track thats just the way it is i am sure it`s fun as hell on the street i rode a gixxer big bore on the street for 8 years and it was a blast but the TQ on track was fucking usless the tire spins just of looking at it.. Still this Ducati you can proabably do power wheelie at 4 gear and if your jockey rider 5 gear LOL fun fun fun...

wow...i remember the times we were all happy to have slipper-clutch, so the downshifts were quite a bit easier....now a days the bike does it all for you, we can even say that all you have to do is "move your foot" hahahahaha its not even called "shifting" anymore, since all you do is literally move your foot up or down...

Perhaps I am old school in thinking, but I actually like shifting! Reason I love manual cars vs automatics. Hopefully they will never fully get rid of the manual shift, and go to some sort of floppy panel gear box style shifting for bikes, it would be a sad, sad day!

Em Eff both bikes are awesome, the Scrambler because it is easy to ride and fun, the Panigale because its littered with the latest technology, rails turns and is very fast. If something had blown, I would have said so.

cool ducati still has there head up there ass and when you throw a rod on your 20k bike under warranty they will tell you its your fault and you used it under race conditions (whatever that means). this happened to one of the riders in are area who had never taken his ducati to a track day let alone raced it.
