I'm not sure what they can do to make my ShoeiX14 better but if they do its going to be big! We do a bunch of roll racing 9/10ths of mile and drag race 1/8-1/4mile. Anything over 180mph -220+mph (roll racing) and a regular helmet will try and rip hour head off if you pop up from behind the windshield not to mention issues with visors ripping up/off. I might be biased but the x14 is something I can say that does it all and cuts through the air better than anything else I've tried.

Excellent, thank you for this. F1 has been doing this for a while, and they take their time to explain the tech, the reasoning behind them, even the specialists and what they do with that tech. I think MotoGP should take a leaf out of the F1 book and this Tech Talk is a great start. Simon is just a master at explaining these things and his "specialist ear" hearing the clutch slip on gear change - just awesome. Please keep them coming.

Amazing invention for the racing industries. I remember my early years on a GSXR 600 K5 without a slipper clutch, downshifting and keeping the clutch slightly engaged, even making a dent in the clutch handle so that i knew whenever i feel the dent, the clutch is slipping and giving comfort and accuracy on track. Racing back then was so tiring! Glad we have blipper systems these days.

TY as always, Simon! You da man!!! I don't think the clutches "slip" during upshifting as opposed to the lower of the gears continues on a bit through the engagement of the next gear to reduce the rpm/intertia drop caused by manually shifting. Didn't we learn that during one of the Tech Talks? May have been somewhere else. Anyway, Thank you Simon!!!

I bought a 2020 KTM 790 adventure with a quickshifter add on. Cool thing, to get the clutch to have power yet easy clutch lever pull they have made to clutch basket with the slots sloped. So when you gas it the plates slide down the slope and engager harder. That way the springs can be lighter hence lite pull.
