Those cone weaves are no joke. He makes it look easy but it’s really hard, takes a lot of skill.

What we've got to appreciate is that even though the bike's more than capable and we even ride the same bike, not everyone will be as skillful. Saying that, just because we're not all this good or nowhere near as good as Greg, we should all still practice but don't be disheartened if we never get to this level. If we could all be as good as one another we'd all be riding GP or Paris-Dakar or whatever floats your boat.

Crazy 13 also teaches patience! When doing the second part, the big weave, I’m waiting to flip the other way without accelerating and washing out the rear. It is a fabulous drill!!
@quinndle
@quinndle 5 ай бұрын
It would be awesome if you added in the sequence of your controls for us complete noobs... Example: when you use the rear brake, when you counter lean, when you use clutch / throttle. I'm assuming it's it's rear break when you start a corner to get the lean angle then clutch and throttle to keep from falling over? I think it would be helpful for those of us that are just getting out permits and are practicing! Thanks a lot!
@adjbob56
@adjbob56 5 ай бұрын
Search his basic drills, white belt, BASICS, etc. You will find that Greg recommends starting with a focus only on throttle, and clutch control. You describe yourself as just getting permit - we were all there once. Don't make it more complex than it has to be - and seek Greg's videos that focus on your issue of starting out and strengthening the basics. Even expert musicians practice basic scales. The basics have to be strong to have a good foundation.

Yeah I need to start working on my parking lot drills. I'm a new rider and have a 2024 MT-09. I need to practice my emergency weaving, like if a car stops suddenly and I need to weave around it. I'm looking through your videos to find a tutorial on that.

Do you notice a lot of clutch shudder when engaging first gear? My MT10 SP shudders a lot in first gear. Have to really get refs up and feather clutch to not have the bike jerk a lot engaging first gear. Only bike I’ve had do this.

Whenever I go out I always practice in a parking lot things like figure 8, u turns, emergency braking, etc. I find it harder to turn right at slow speeds than left, any explanation for this?
@GlobalIntentions
@GlobalIntentions 5 ай бұрын
I’m on the same boat as you, I don’t have any advice but hoping someone in the know can explain.. I’m right handed I’m not sure about yourself but maybe this comes into play.. or possibly fear of dropping the bike/ourselves when covering the rear brake? I can turn left no problem but when turning right it feels odd

Typically people have a harder time with right turns because the clutch is now further away. If you have short arms and/or wider bars or bars that turn a lot, it puts the clutch far out and some people find it harder to control. When you turn left, the clutch is in close and easier to manipulate.
