Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber Ergonomics & Rider Fit

I take a look at the ergonomics of the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber, which offers a low seat height and ultra-inviting rider fit, that should be suitable for most riders.
That combines to create an easy handling package, easy reach to the ground, upright and commanding seating position, with a comfortable seat. For a 'Bobber' style machine that's a great combination, which doesn't trade off usability and comfort for style.
That seat height is an inviting 785 mm, while I'm a 180 cm tall rider, with a 32 inch inseam for comparison.

I have one. It’s a very roomy seating position. Very relaxed. Not for higher speeds where wind blast takes over a bit. Cool bike imo

Yep and the wind issue just comes with the territory of this style bike unless you add a screen so hard to complain too much about it!

How tall and inseam are you John? I heard that there is no issues with valve head even you’re taller rider.

@@tomasdaxner3014 5’11” with 31” inseam. There’s loads of room and to be honest I have never even thought about my knees hitting the cylinder heads once. I think on the very first batch of 2016 bikes the foot pegs were much farther forward and from 2017 onwards they were moved right back.

@@jfro5867 well I did sit on it and actually I ordered one but not riding it… I’ve just fallen love to it. I haven’t seen any problem too to siting on it, even I’m 192cm (6’3) 34 inseam. Hopefully I’ll feel the same while riding it…

The digital dash suits the v9, never liked white dials, but the v7 looks better with the analogue clock,

A bit more forward positioned pegs would solve both the foot placement issue and the exaggerated knee bend… go figure I love the looks of this bike 🍻

I think the only issue may be banging shins on the heads, with the pegs a little further forward, it'd be interesting to see if it works!

Nice review thx. However I was wondering about knees hitting/coming close to the cylinders. Is that an issue? I am 1.87 (6.1 british says google) and quite long legs..?

There was just enough room for me, once I settled into a natural position, but I wouldn't have wanted any less clearance. I think I read somewhere, that a larger rider did find it very tight.
