I own the previous gen. Absolutely love it, A real no nonsense bike. Now get yourself some Agostin pipes and you'll be ready to go! I don't like the new speedo with the LCD screen Loved your tour of the Factory

I have a 2017. I don't like the digital clock, tail light and headlight. I prefer the original bobber much better and when the 65Hp version came out I couldn't make an upgrade move based on the looks.

@@kevinrutledge4921 not for everyone. Some love it and some hate it. Like the purists don’t like that a V7 is now an 850, so not a 7 anymore…..

Why is the clock not mounted centrally . Maybe it's me being OCD ! NOT , though ! It looks terrible and makes no sense . I love the Guzzi 850s ; I think I would go for the V7 special , with two clocks thank you , not the Stone , overall . I do prefer the Stone wheels and less chrome than the Special .... quicker and easier to clean ! But two clocks , please ....two Brembo disks would really be nice . The Roamer would be my second choice of the existing range . If I was younger and rich , lol , the Mandelo would join my list . I used to have an SF2 Laverda .

for someone 6ft tall how does the V9 compare to the V7? is it a bit roomier?
@route21garage
@route21garage 5 ай бұрын
@@mart7404 it is a completely different seating position which also adds to the roomier feel. But also Roamer and Bobber feel different too

Would you recommend it as a first time/ learner bike??? I love the looks of it but need to get my license first and consider a Kawasaki Z650rs which I know is a great starting point but that won’t be a keeper…. this one is high up as my “to want” bike so if it’s a great “beginner” bike too I will definitely go for it at once… fyi I’m 50+ of age and want a relaxing, good looking bike …. next to a triumph T100

This is an awesome bike for you. Relaxed seated position , low stance, wide handlebars and motor has high torque, so not scary racy fast but good torque so no need to constantly be changing gears
@Deetroiter
@Deetroiter Жыл бұрын
Agreed, Moto guzzis in general are plenty of power and torque for USABILITY and fun, all without being violent. They’re very easy to ride gently or spiritedly

The fat tires, do they have som special funktion, beside the look? What caracter do they give to the handling?
@route21garage
@route21garage 2 жыл бұрын
It is more looks than function The fat tyre makes the bike nimble and very maneuverable at slower speeds up to 60 to 80km/h but then nervous at higher speeds on the highway.. not in a way that it is dangerous nor scary

Did anyone compared the roamer vs bobber usability ? I fear that the big front tire would make it less nimble than the roamer to manoeuver, tilt and take curves I currently own a Yam XSR 700. Thank you

Yes in another episode I ride the bobber vs the roamer from Johannesburg to Cape Town , over 1400km, with a mate, switching every 200km. I do compare them back to back, speed, wind resistance, touring vs posing, fuel economy, stability at speeds, etc. Enjoy

I just can't get into the all black styling, I really don't like it. In my personal opinion the Stone would be much more attractive if they painted the side covers used gloss paint and installed stainless exhaust like the Triumph Twins. I think Moto Guzzi alienates a part of their potential market by using the blacked-out styling. Moto Guzzi should look at Triumph and take some styling cues. I own a 2022 V7 Special and love it, it is so much better looking than the Bobber and Stone. With Moto Guzzi it's one or the other, you get a retro bike with gloss paint and chrome or you get an all matte finish that's blacked out. They need a bike styled in the middle between the Special and the Stone.
