I paid $43K for mine and it was delivered in August of 2016. One of the first 2017 on the west coast. Love it. Barely put 8500 miles on it for the past 2 years.

The leather seats are perfect in the convertible. If I was getting the hardtop, I'd save the money.

They put gas hood struts on it because they know you'll be working on it so much they don't want the prop rod to get in the way.

JCW has the same exact engine as the Cooper S? Internals pistons rods are all the same?

I don't want to put any pressure on you but that B7 review you'll be putting out in january will rather be excellent! Please fly to Bavaria and drive that thing (in comfort) at around 120 mph on the Autobahn - that's what it was built for, and not for doing 65 mph on an interstate. ;-)

While I would LOVE to drive the B7 in Deutschland, sadly, that is not the plan. The car is scheduled to be *shot* in January in California so plan on a bit after that for a TECH REVIEW and FIRST DRIVE REVIEW. That said, do have Der neue 5er coming up in January as well as a number of other things kicking off with Season 7!

Why do people still insist that small cars are "economy" cars? People seem to falsely equate size with value for the dollar. The Mini is not, and has never been, an economy car. Minis are BMWs under a different badge, and the quality, features and attention to detail reflect this. I've driven a 2005 since new. It has over 130K miles on it and has never had any serious problems aside from normal maintenance you'd expect for a car of that age that gets driven like it's stolen on a daily basis. Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Money well spent. Also, IMO, anyone who specs this car with an automatic is totally missing the point; it's a driver's car with rallying roots that also happens to look "cute."

What did they do to the fenders? That flat shape around the wheels wells. they ruined it, now it doesn't look like a mini.

I saw this car in Salão do Automóvel in São Paulo here in Brazil, and the price here it is R$168.000,00 wich it is totally overpriced and impossible to buy if you are a normal person, but If you are rich so you can.
