Everyone has to realize your comparing two stroke motors and Yamaha 125cc engines to the Chinese gy6. We took a motor that does 50-55 out the box and now are hitting 70+. Give the guy credit and put the hate somewhere else. Congrats bud.

Thanks for finishing the Ruck. I tuned in just for this build. I wanted something that was cool to roll around and get me here and there to eat. I'm too scared to ride a motorcycle in my area. People drive reckless or just don't pay attention here in the LA area. Accidents happen in a blink of an eye. A scooter that can hit 70mph is perfect for me. Since you put the cam in I'd like to see the reliability on it.

Congrats on hitting 70, man! That's awesome. Not sure I'd necessarily wanna go 70 on one of those things though, lol. I rode a Ruckus once, and I felt like the 55-60 I maxed out at was sketchy enough, lol. They're a lot fun at moderate speeds though, like smaller back roads and city commuting where you tend to stay below 50. I think that's the sweet spot for these little guys.

Thank you for this build series. I’ve never watched one. I found you by mistake and so happy I did. Loved it. Loved how you made me feel like you were talking to me and what “we” were going to do next. You have a cool little family and friends. I just want you to know I really appreciated your build series on this ruckus. I liked as many videos as I could have. I have a ruckus and was nervous about installing all these upgrades that are cosmetic for the most part to my Ruck. But after watching you I feel way more comfortable doing them now. Mostly the stretch. I spent a good $1k to $1800 on parts waiting to be installed. I do want to mention (not hating) that as soon as I heard you wanted to do a GY6 that you would have so many issues, due to that engine. I kinda went on the same journey upgrading my Ruck for speed. I upgraded one thing at a time, so I would know if something broke my scoot instead of doing them all at once. I am proud (like you are/were) about hitting 70mph. My goal was 50mph on my GET. I am happy to report, I hit 51mph on my GET about 6 months ago. Now all I have left is cosmetics. If you ever do a ruckus again, I would love to see you do the GET engine and see what you can get out of it. Anyways, would love to chat with you, I feel like I already have you as a friend. About the Ruck or even ride with you and a group. Please let us/me know the next ride you are doing so we all can meet up and do a ride together. I am in Florida so I would need a heads up. Honestly I was expecting more from your ruck. I have a taida 171 cylinder and piston and the same ncy big valve head with same oko 28mil carb also with 12 gram weights and I hit 71 on flat ground weighing 225. I think ryan will be able to squeeze some more out man. Glad to see the ruck is back that is the reason I subbed.

Motonosity if You change the Clutch belt to a Power link 842 and combine the roller to 3 9grams and 12grams You can have More top speed and better acceleration And from Puerto rico And We fix gy6 motor all day And with 172cc we are making more than 79mph. luck if you read the comment.

Imo you'll get better performance with a cam like the A9, I've built my brother in laws scoot with half of your mods and he's pulling 73-75mph and gets there quicker. But really nice build!!

Motonosity, what grade gas do you use? I always put mid grade in. Have you tried various grades and would it really make a difference in speed gains?, Oh and Congrats on 71.4 mph. I saw it hit 71.4. It flashed for like .2 seconds.

I’d have personally chose the Grom over the ruckus cause just as much customization if not more, easier to make a 90mph Grom than a 70mph ruckus with a 171cc kit on the both of the two. Used to have a Grom, fun as hell, but I respect this build cause of all the time taken to make it such a great outcome
