I noticed your in so-cal , as I'm from there also ; in Fontana I live so close to the race track and the old Kaiser steel mill ; i can literally hear the NASCAR cars going around the track on race day! Too bad we only get 1 -race a year what a waste, but we do have a 1/4 mile drag strip at the racetrack , a few hot rods but mostly Honda's,Toyota's and foreign stuff ; I guess if you throw enough money at something you can make anything go fast ! I got a killer deal on a SPORSTER, 1993-or 94 with 15,000 miles on it, I paid 3,000 for it got 4 seats,2 sets of grips,2 helmets, all of the receipts from first purchase all maintenance records , motor manual , 3 pairs of gloves orange vest , 1 black Harley vest really nice expensive one, and an older heavy as HELL leather jacket with no inside liner , even with no liner it must still weigh 25-30 pounds! I'm thinking I could slide 200 feet and not get any road rash wearing that jacket . Now the bad thing with this bike ! It was never garaged and was rained on &exposed to the summer heat in Beaumont Calif I restored all the rusty chrome that I could , but the aluminium is toast , white oxidized , pitted and looks like shit! I tried working on the cases, and other parts but I'm over 60 and I don't have time for that shit! So I guess my only best option is to paint literally the entire motor black except the push rod tubes and the very top of the rocker boxes! There used to be an automotive detail store in a little mini mall that had some stuff just for that kind of problem , kind of like truck bed liner but no where near as thick, and had to have a reducer a retarder, and a Gardner, and required 3 light coats and final coat medium to slightly thick final coat and a 72 hour curing process. It was touted as gas,grease,oil, heat resistant to 2,000 degrees , guaranteed not to peel, flake,discolor, bubble . When fully cured it lays down flat with a semi gloss finish! So I guess I'm going to have to find another place that sells it! I up graded my gas tank to a 4.5 gal packo gas tank with flush mount gas cap, the little p-nut stock tank was really irritating filling up every other day, I'm breaking into airbrushing and will be all the art on my bike myself I'm thinking of doing some skulls & flames using a new paint called lumilor that can be turned on by means of an electrical current, flame colors will be barley detectable till the switch is flipped by you! Can you imagine true fire backed up by a 12 volt battery current and watching not only your gas tank! Do your fenders,oil tank,battery box ! The guy I've been following on KZbin is Ryan Veness , a really great guy he's in Canada and his KZbin channel is Blood shot Airbrushing or blood shot army airbrushing, he has done 2 bikes so far with this new ground breaking paint so it shouldn't be too hard to see how it looks ! This guy does not sell dvd's he knows how hard it is to find some one to teach airbrushing, very few if any will teach you anything ! Because now once taught you are competition and viewed as taking jobs away from your teacher And if anything gets taught it's just the bare minimums as he won't tell you any tricks to use to make it easy for you, he'll show you some of what you know but not everything he knows! Ryan will answer any and all questions and teach and tell you all the tips &tricks or anything your having a hard time with and he'll generally help you to the best of his ability , so check him out ! Even though he's in Canada he dresses,And talks like the quientensesual California surfer hippey! And he's so laid back and easy going .

Please buy a breaker bar with a ratchet end. Every time you use your torque wrench as a breaker you risk throwing off its accuracy and damaging it.

Better off going to the hard tail that shock angle wouldn't be great
@mrkthmn5 жыл бұрын
I dont think it would have worked at all. The shock may have been lined up at rest but with the length of that lower arm and the angle of the shock, any pressure put on the shock would have been sideways against it, not directly into like it needed to be. To use that angle with shock he would have shorten that lower arm proportionally to how much he lowered the top mounting point and he couldnt have cause of the tire.
