Good idea on the brake pedal and shifter. I’m gonna copycat. 😀

Smart move with the OEM starter. I tried a tusk starter on my ‘23 ec300 when a sticky start button fried the oem starter. Needless to say, 6 months after installing the tusk it failed and I had to bite the bullet on an OEM replacement. Learned that lesson the hard way 😂 Injuries suck ass! Sorry to hear you’re out for the year. I’ve only got it in the budget to make Silver Kings this year. Hopefully it’s in both of our cards to chase the series next year 🤙

I run 12/49 here for the forest. It’s real nice. Can lug around smoothly in 2nd and 3rd.

Hey Chris I have the same bike as you except mine is 19 300xc. That stator upgrade is solid. Definitely gives you a better charge on the battery and faster starting. Although the fan does stay on after your bike shuts off if it's above temp. The light has a relay and it'll shut off after 10-15 seconds after the bike is off. (if you run a light on the xc) Cool to see how you set the bike up, mine is similar. Keihin carb, trax shock, I have lucky forks, I run 13/51 gearing. These bikes are bulletproof. I've yet to ride a tpi or tbi that I believe is better. Good luck racing this year.

2021 tpi rider here. I had to dump too much money in my bike to keep it from being a turd. Carbs are still better.

Oh yeah, it is a gray bikes makes me wanna see what the GPX knock off is all about. bummed the new stator didn't have the relay to shut the fan off after the bike shuts off.

No way man. Stay away from the china stuff. Find another 17-19 carb bike that's clean when you're ready to dump yours.@@TrailBoundco

I got a set. Putting in this weekend. He has an older video of his buddy Phil’s bike where Phil had waited 100 plus hours and the bushing came out just like this but had damaged the cover.

I had a 18 250xcw. 300 hours starter went Used a tusk starter had no problems. They also make oversized brass bushings for the case.

Nice how many hours on the tusk now?

Just had to pull a pretty much new trail tech stator off. Was not charging the battery. Keep your oem stator in the van because the trail tech wont last long.
@TrailBoundco9 ай бұрын
Strange, I've put 150 hours on the Trail Tech stater and it's actually used from a friend who had it for probably 200 hours so maybe he got a bad one or there's something shorting it. Definitely fix my problem of the battery dying from the fan running too much in Hard Enduro.

@@TrailBoundco dang. I am glad yours is working out. That was the intent of mine. It was powering a baja designs squadron pro. But i ended up just going back to stock cause I gave up lol.

How many hours before your starter went out? Also, Love the 2017 thru 2019 KTM 250 and 300 XCW models. Those are great bikes. Excellent looking bike.
@TrailBoundco9 ай бұрын
I had never replaced it up to this point so 400 hours just pretty dang good I think. My girlfriends went out at like 200 I think on her TPI but could've been some issue causing that. I'm not quite sure..

@@TrailBoundco Thanks buddy, I sure appreciate you getting back to me with this info. 400 hours is amazing. While I'm here, love your products, too! I just got your leather grab handles for my XCW TBI bike, love them.

Can you do a video on the starter issue? And why was it bad?
@TrailBoundco9 ай бұрын
I did found some stuff in the past. I'm not sure if I know where it's at or not but yeah, I did take some troubleshooting to figure out what the issue was

Do you run mooses tubeless or tubes ??
@TrailBoundco9 ай бұрын
Oh yeah, sorry I run bibs. I stopped running tubeless altogether after I got two tubeless flats at this race and it really killed my time trying to fix it and then they just went flat again so pretty frustrating. But some people have them and are pure tubeless diehard fans so I don't know.

Keep us posted on the tinfoil-esque S3 pipe! :)
@jackflynn91698 ай бұрын
I’ve tried the S3 pipe on my sherco and I think it’s 18gauge same as a gnarly pipe no better no worse,maybe a touch stronger on bottom less on top power wise but it’s Not thinner and easier to dent. This is on a Sherco but probably the same same. Just what I’ve found
