Suzuki Loom Works pun berkembang pesat dengan memproduksi alat tenun untuk industri pengolahan sutra di Jepang.[9] Pada tahun 1929, Michio Suzuki menciptakan mesin tenun tipe baru, yang lalu diekspor ke luar Jepang. Selama 30 tahun pertama, Suzuki Loom Works pun fokus pada pengembangan dan produksi mesin tersebut.

@@philippelafenetre2519 your information is incomplete: while an engine was built, when tested, it was found to be uncompetitive with the twin and was abandoned and never raced. Its chassis was used with a twin cylinder engine by Anscheidt to win two titles before it was retires at the end of the 1968 racing season. The problem with the 3-cylinder engine was that its usable torque range would require far more than the 14 gear sets of the twin.

@@RC116 Suzuki did not race in 1968 they announced their withdrawal from GP racing in February 1968.

@@johnr6292 , this probably explains why Hans-Georg Anscheidt was the 1968 50cc world champion on his Suzuki RK67 twin... Suzuki had officially pulled out, but unofficially still supported Anscheidt with both a 50cc and a 125cc bikes.
