Great video. Very interesting. Wicked motors everywhere!! Proof yet again that if it has a blue oval on the front - anything is possible. Even at an auction where some amazing cars were making low money...or not selling at all🤦🏻‍♂️ Sorry the Porsche didn't sell. The NSX looked soooooo clean. Still worth every penny despite its status. I'd do some bad things to own something like that 😆 On a serious note (and forgive me if you already considered it) but it might be worth trying to sell the Porsche at Mathewsons in Thornton le Dale? They're auctions are now HUUUGE and seemingly generate massive interest across the board not least because of their television status the last few years. Just a thought 🤷🏻‍♂️👍🏼

why on earth do people pay silly money for old fords ? i had an 89 saff cossie for 13 years ..sold it in 2013 for 5k as i just didnt drive it after 2009 it sat in my workshop for years its now worth a flipping fortune ! and its still out there ..the guy i sold it to resprayed it did an engine rebuild had it a few years then sold it on for well probably 20k + as it went to auction and i know it went for daft money compared to the 4k i paid for it in 2000 ! mad !

take an old ford over any of the disposable German junk these days. The newer cars absolutely suck on a B-Road too i mean my mate who openly admits im a faster driver by miles managed to catch me up in my last RS4 up here in Scotland on the back roads, he was in a stock RX8😂 My M3 was worse it got confused over bumps mid bend, the chassis are diabolical now its all electrics covering for bad chassis design and you get found out all the time. Straight line cars these days its a yawnfest

Tiny market for the 911, not only as you say due to its stripped out track setup but because it’s a bit of a Frankenstein car if I remember rightly. Think I saw it on eBay or somewhere. Looks like a 964 but is an old torsion bar suspension car. Not sure if it was even a 930? Started life narrow bodied? Hard sell, as you found out. As you say you need someone who’ll use it as intended but I’m not sure it’s a £50k car. I bet you gave £30k-£35k. That’s why you’re not fessing up on the price until it sells. 😄👍🏻

Rs500 has an extra set of injectors but not plumbed in, It also had the fog lights in the boot and honeycomb/mesh fitted in its place and had black rubber/plastic trim around the base of the whale tail and on the lip. The front bumper also has an extra slot just below the grill...probably a few more bits I don't know about but that's the main ones I think...

RS500 has a different block it can take more power as they shrunk the blog plug size and beefed it up slightly so it could easily take over 500bhp whereas the normal 3 door block needed opened if you planned on over 400bhp. it also has a bigger turbo, intercooler as well different front bumper that allows more airflow, removable foggies at the front and the rear suspension had an enlongated lower mount to allow for the wheelbase to be shortened or lengthened. It was only tacked on though you needed to weld it up to use it or get an aftermarket one. I had 3 door and saph then an early big turbo escort and my uncle had the rs500. The best of them all to drive was the 2wd saph but once you fettled with the RS500 engine it was an animal. Still is.

Moral of the story, if one has confidence in their car stick to your guns, if the fella hoping to pay £40k was the sole buyer for the Ford, the seller would have been £16k short thinking that was what the car was worth not knowing that’s what it’s worth to one man who will pay more for something else less original. Lol
