You know, as I watch your videos and have lost count of how many times you say to check the technical service bulletins, it makes me more and more mad at dealers. When you have a problem with your vehicle and you research KZbin, Google, vehicle specific message boards, etc and find out that this problem is not only common but the manufacturer has put out a TSB and a recall/warranty extension and then go to or call the dealer to set up an appointment to get it fixed under warranty, they say their is no TSB or recall for your vehicle. Then you either read them off the number of the TSB or hand them the printed off TSB and/or recall/warranty extension and they say, oh. We'll set up your appointment... I know they hate doing warranty work but shame on these people. Many recalls/TSBs are safety hazards. This happened with our Honda accord with the piston ring oil consumption TSB and a coworker has an Acura TSX that the electric assisted steering has stopped working. I found out this is a common failure of the electric steering module. I told her to call Acura and schedule and appointment to have it fixed under the extended warranty 15 years/unlimited miles and they said there is no TSB on her car and they even told her there's no airbag recall after she received the letter in the mail to have it replaced. So I printed off the recall and the TSB and gave it to her and told her I could fix it but it's a $900 part from Acura plus labor so it's better to get it fixed for free. We'll see what they say when she shows them the recall/TSB. This is wrong and they ought to be sued for doing this. I've heard of them doing this to many other customers as well. And she bought the car from them!

There are bad shops and there are good ones. You're a good one - the dealership, not so much.

Years back there was a " machine shop " in my area . I heard that whenever there was a customer screaming on the phone , they were told they would send two " technicians " to look at the car . They simply each put on the two white lab coats hanging on the wall and went to the customer . They wouldn't admit it , but did someone cut the valves and seats on those heads to the WRONG SPECS ?
