2016 model, and I seriously love my bike and it doesn't let me down at all........but it vibrates soo damn much that I had to buy a bluetooth helmet so that the vibrations don't bother enough................vibrations are the only reason why I sometimes prefer to ride my activa over the bike😅😅😅

Bajaj always had quality issues compared to recent past where they have improved significantly. It's more on the gaining side than loosing side with P220. It's still one of the most sold Bajaj products in this category in India. Value for money speaks. The only complain I've is the front brake. It needs to be better. It doesn't stop the bike as expected. I think I would still love to ride it for many more coming years.

MotorBeam - if talking about issue I hav 220 bought in 2014 drove 48000 kms and I replaced my rear shockabs once. issue is u do whatsoever experiments with ur engine oil or clutch but smoothness while gear shifting is always missing. and chain sprocket is another pain. i had change it twice. chain get loose after every 15-20 days (i drive 60 kms daily) but still whenever I see gixxer , rtr 200, unicorn, fz, hornet on road and I can't control my self to check power of my baby and I start a small race n i win with them if I derive speed of 70kmph on 4th gear @ 6000 rpm. it's fact

Don't agree with a few points: 1. Design is not "dated". I've not seen another bike like the 220. Its design is pretty Unique! 2. I think Bajaj should re-touch on the technical aspects of the bike ( like fuel Injection and Liquid Cooling like the RS200) , while keeping its physical design same.

I recently brought a plusar 220f ABS 2019 edition just because its timeless design and that was the bike who started the legecy of over 200 cc motorcycles and one more thing no matter what you said pulsar 220 is still better than the whole market we now get a engine cowl abs etc . sanket hudali bicycles look better than 220. The semi fairing is way to front positioned, making it look weird, and the gap between the headlight and front wheel is too much. Also this bike is designed like an average commuter bike, because of the twin shocks, fancy mudguards and same old pulsar body. I don't care if you guys get angry with me. This bike is something I'd never go near to. Most hooligans ride this bike only, some of them noobs too, one of them hit my bicycle at 60 and I escaped with minor injuries, and I would've had my head injured if at all I hadn't worn my helmet. yes there are some issues but the bike is the original fastest indian . It is still ruling the Indian market. Easily beat your R15 cbr150 your apache200 4v apache rtr 180. This is still a good power machine with a affordable price tag . The hottest performance bike of India . I think you specially hate the 220. Even Ducatis have problem about their services. Do visit a Ducati showroom and you will know that. Yes but still it's a good bike and I am proud owner of it.

Having a pulsar 220 dtsi since 2009...1.dated looks-subjective(infact its design was ahead of its time) 2.build quality-not that bad 3.fairing rattling-yes 4.engine oil leakage-only once in the initial days 5.brakes-very good bite from front discs(dont cry for ABS every now and then & and what type of abs tvs offers for just Rs.3000 is quite understandable) 6.riding position-very good..not as upright as karizma(old competitor) & not as sporty as r15.. 7.engine harshness-at higher rpm most single cylinder sohc bikes vibrate.thats not an issue to mention 8.headlight-very good 9.loose switch gear- no not at all you r the first to state that 10.tailight loose- never(except accidental case) 11.why people buy 220 over as200 or ns200- thats the fan following of this bike and it is surely going to continue for a few more years Dont call me a bajaj fanboy..I know haters will say that...anyways never had a problem with my 220 all these years..maintenance and riding technique are the key factors...But I do feel that first generation of pulsar 220 was superior than the newer generations(thats completely my opinion)..currently own a Ninja 250r for my daily ride...

I bought Pulsar 220f ABS With RLP and Engine or belly Guard and I'm fully satisfied but 1 and only problem I faced was Main Stand was touching speed breaker but I cutted the rubber half of it now it doesn't touch at all even with a heavy pillion ! Some Reasons to buy P220 over 200NS 1. No hi-tech stuff--> Lesser headache. Can be repaired easily almost in any mechanic shop when breakdown. You will be pissed off if 200NS breaks down in a normal town. 2. For those who hate to service their bike at BAJAJ ASS(huge and unnecessary service costs) and have trusted outside Mechanic. I am saying this because till now i am unable to find much mechanics outside who can service or lay their hands on 200NS. 3. Comfortable pillion seat to hop on and can get down easily for elders when compared to 200NS. 4. Fairing helps to cut down wind blasts while touring. (although it may rattle in high speeds, mechanics have found a way to fix it even). Good straight line stability in higher speed (say100kmph) 5. BS4 model have now contact switches as opposed to Non-contact switches and BCU in earlier---> results in better electricals (200NS have contact type switches right from 2012) and lesser headache. 6. Auto-choke removed--> Now its simple carburettor 7. No Liquid-cooling---> No worry to look at it. Even Apache200 and FZ25 don't have it. Though it aids in better cooling. 8. Definitely lesser service costs than 200NS. 9. Doesn't have to shiftdown frequently which is a big plus when compared to 200NS. 10. You can inspect spark plugs and can even service your carburetor(if you know) and other things by yourselves easily when compared to 200NS. 11. Better alloys. Yes i can say P220 have good alloys but i am not comparing them to 200NS or 200RS(Read RS200 alloy news) Some reasons to buy 200NS over P220 1. Better Chassis and Mono suspension and corner friendly which are very good deal makers for 200NS. 2. Center stand doesn't scrap unlike P220. (The holder of P220 sliencer can be cut and adjusted so that it can be rectified in P220) 3. Liquid-cooling for better engine cooling. 4. Refined engine (Though i don't know how much is BS4 P220 refined) i'm neither a owner of P220 nor 200NS :D

Yes, thats somewhat true but not true to the core. i have resided both in towns and cities. Still there are thousands of towns(read Corporation category) that suffer with unavailability of simple spares of P220. If at all you go there and suffer breakdown of NS200, its a big Headache and GOD save you. P220 still outsells 200NS because of various reasons. --> bit more pillion comfort --> easy available spares and service. ---> proved engine all these years --> discontinuing 200NS (a big mistake). A normal buyer may think "what if they again discontinue 200NS" --> asking friends and taking mechanic opinion. Mechanic simply says to get a P220 because of simple tech compared to 200NS.

The 220 which was shown at 0:53 was very bad maintained. I have clocked 41000 kms on my 220 and it is so good till now. Its just that you need to service it properly

(1) In general 220 looks better with all those fairing and gives "big bike" feel. Thats not the case with 200ns. (2) ergonomics and seat of 220 is very comfortabe. seat of 200ns is so hard that it will kick your ass after one hour.

Nice Video Bro There might be a few issues like vibrations and mirror viewing, but My friends, those riding r15, duke and appache still feel that my bike (220f) is better then theirs reasons, 1. Low cost Maintenance 2. Equals their speed 3. Bike is a beast in few angles 4. The Model never gets old (People still turn around to see the black Pulsar) 5. Though 220cc fuel consumption is better then many other bikes

shubham negi also my friend's pulsar220 which he maintain & serviced after every 2 months,,is getting a tickling sound from its engine.He has completed only 3 years & 1 months till now..we can except this much worst quality of engine,,only from bajaj.He spends so money even in maintaining too & then also engine pblm.bajaj bikes are just for 1-2 years not more than that.While one of my other friend's tvs apache 180 is so healthy from engine & he too purchased 3 years ago...also not to forget that he dont maintain his bike as pulsar guy

Its been 4 years now i haven't face any issues, i used it roughly but maintained it on time. About the vibrations need to fix it manually then you won't get vb sound till 130kmph. Please don't judge it too quickly. Pulsar 220 Rockzzzz 😍 😎

Unrefined? Pulsar has a revvy refined engine. Mine is with me since 2011 and engine is as revvy as it was the first day, because I ride sensible and don't judge a bike on how long it takes to reach 100kmph unlike our "pro" faisal khan sir. That guy gets a re classic, does 0-60, gets a mahindra thar, does 0-60, gets dominar, does 0-60 and declares dominar the best since it takes lesser time. I mean wtf? People should buy bmw1000rr since it can do 0-60 in less time even if they want to go offroading? According to him, tesla roadster 2 should be the best car?

Got it in December 2010 and since then, I had only a few issues, a chain and sprocket change, a leaking front shocker, and rear disc break cylinder change. One of the major gripes is, it refuses to start in really cold winters. Since there is no kick start option, it becomes troublesome. That is the only major gripe. I have had no oil leakages and other problems. Yes I got the centre stand removed. I feel despite dated looks, it still looks stunning, if bajaj could update this bike with a full fairing, abs and bring back fuel injection which it had on launch, I guess it would stand a fair chance even today, but then again, it would compete with bajaj's own portfolio.

I always love this design. 220 need updation follows 1 braking updation + Abs 2 much for refined engine like ns and dominor 3 suspension updation 4 mileage is supercool (so no problem ) 5 wet cletch 6 need 6th gear 7 center stand correction

'its all about how you keep your bike' .. be it a 220 or duke .. ! making videos like 7 reasons not to buy 220, enfield is not worth it .. i have seen people owning these bikes (220 and enfield) for more than 7 years with no problems. and I am sure motorbeam will come up with a video soon saying 7 reason not to buy ktm duke and first will be 'it sounds like a tempo'. s i proudly am, mr motor beam there is no such things u mentioned in the video , i have few things to say da guy in the video has oil lakage bt i never found oil leakages build quality , mine is 70k kms & no bore , same clutch ,clutch wire & clutch plates (everything from stock) same suspension , elecetronis (except low beam bulb {2 qty till now}) the high beam bulb the same from stock everything is same , except for tires & low beam lamp & disc pads wat else do u need to prove 220 is awesome build quality & it still roars 150+ kmph topspeed , bet u can answeer this with ur video

When there are so good bikes in the market, why on earth will any one buy a Pulsar 220, just get a Yamaha FZ25 and enjoy the smoothness, quality, reliability and durability of the Yamaha brand which Bajaj can never ever offer. I had the 220, every time a new issue comes up and Bajaj SVC has no idea how to resolve it. The best part is, every bike has different issues.

Indian Superman When one chooses to be a biker, one must know the odds of machine he is riding. Going to SVC is not a solution at all, ne it yamaha or Bajaj. Besides, FZ25 is painfully underpowered machine and these words come from an owner of P220 2011 and a 2017 FZ 25, it lacks the character a 250 should have.
