Grey With Red Wheels. I had an Xmax 300 but changed it for an NMAX155. I used in Pattaya and jomtien, found the Xmax a bit of a pain in some car parks and parking on slopes. It’s quite long and heavy so hard to get out of car parks when you get boxed in with many bikes. Also be careful parking on a slope, it has no parking brake so it can slide. You’ll find it in the middle of the road :). On the upside, its got a bit more grunt than most scooters, you can fit 24 bottles of beer and 2 bottles of coke under the seat! Also in pattaya you will probably get tugged by the police with the Acropovic Exhaust, just put a standard one on, its a scooter at the end of the day. Ride Safe.

Chad I have an xmax in Cebu Philippines and I have to tell you 3 things: 1st you are going to be very happy with it because its a very reliable bike. 2nd I would install the original screen back because with the pollution here and there and even wearing glasses you cannot imagine the amount of crap sticking onto your eyes per mile driven in the city. With the higher screen you will enjoy your ride. With that mini screen you will be complaining all the time, I know you. And 3rd: I saw no rearview mirrors on those very sleek xmax models you showed on your vlog, but really dangerous and a couple of good mirrors with long stem could save your ass in certain conditions...just don´t take unnecessary risks man
@CBMedia404
@CBMedia404 Жыл бұрын
I've heard nothing but great things about them! And not much pollution where I'll be using it and honestly if I plan to go far, I'll drive the Evo, it'll be more for running up and down beach road during daily life going to the store or to eat. Thank you for the advice though.

The mirrors are there, they are just small. I've seen a lot of that in Bangkok in order to stay legal. Personally, I like the regular mirrors on a stick and I use them constantly. Red/Gold is so common here, the grey/red is a much better unique bike. Remember you can get them wrapped for cheap too.

Grey with red wheels all day. I think we can tell from your pitch that it is the one you want. The price isn't bad on that either for all the customization. I went with a big bike, but after a year, I wish I had gone Xmax. The scooters are just easier to get around on. Hell, I'd probably pick a zoomer, except chicks dig riding on the back of the bigger scooters more than a zoomer. The old Forzas were fire, but I don't like the new design. They used to have lovely curves.

Yeah I think the Xmax might be the perfect middle ground for a get around town bike, I'd never get a bike bike but also being so tall I need something a little bigger than a 150cc I look so silly on those things LOL

Grey /w Red! It's funny how the differences are between Thailand and the Philippines. Our X-max has the common "Big Engine" option of 150cc, and aftermarket anything for them is pretty much zero, but for double the price you get all the bells and whistles AND double the sized engine.

The Honda ADV350 has better suspension for the kind of road we have here but it is difficult to find second hand and the waiting list to get a new one is pretty long. Considering that the ADV, Forza and XMax are new around 200.000thb you may consider a new one. Other than that, the XMax is a very dependable scooter with a lot of storage and enough power to be comfortable on Sukhumvit road. If I had to choose between the 2, I would go for the grey one.

I've seen a couple ADV350's around,, they are sweet looking! But honestly I'll just ride this around town and if I go further than say 10km or so I'll just drive my Evo
@Alsinsin
@Alsinsin Жыл бұрын
@CBMedia404 If less than 10km, then I would go for a smaller scooter. I have a Yamaha NMax in Bangkok with upgraded YSS fork cartridges and rear shocks, Brembo front calliper with big rotor. Perfect tool to squeeze through heavy traffic where the XMax would really struggle. Still roomy enough to accommodate my 6'5 and 120kg. I raised the saddle by 50mm and higher handlebars. Very cheap mods but the Brembo caliper. The bike has enough power to get at 100+km/h pretty quickly. Only limitation is when I have a pillion, the suspension tends to bottom out quickly.

Hey Chad, I’ve been in the motorcycle world back in the US for almost 30 years, and even for a motorbike, and just to mention not just been in the motorcycle world, certified Harley, Davidson, tech, Yamaha tech, Honda, Suzuki, Polaris, etc. been through them all, and my recommendation would be to go with the Yamaha, HOWEVER, from being a wrench in the trade for so long, body mods are cool, as long as they don’t interfere with the suspension or riding characteristics designed into them. Ultimately, I would stay away from anything that has any more than maybe a pipe and a jet kit installed, any heavy, engine modifications I would, definitely, definitely, I can’t say it enough, definitely stay away from. If you have the mods done yourself, that’s one thing, at least you know exactly what’s been done, how it’s been ridden since stock, and who did the work, but if any heavy engine modifications have been done before you get it, you never know who did the work, the reputation of the tech, the quality of the parts, or how it’s been written albeit good or bad.
@mpanka1
@mpanka1 Жыл бұрын
Not to mention, try not to let the overall looks of the bike, sway your decision, simply, because you know all of the credible people in Thailand, who can do that work for you, and as a Plus, you get to have them do exactly what you want to the motorbike, not just what someone else thought you might like. Just my two cents for what it’s worth, still, keeping up with all of your “one takes” and full Vids! excellent work!

Red simply for the fun aspect of then you would have a Red bike a White car and a Blue car, and when you have them together you can Rep both your home countries of Thailand and the US. I also think the Red bike could have the potential to carry on the color coded "Food" names lol. Regardless as long as you enjoy what you pick it's all good 👍

If the price point is not that high you should get a tmax which has the same color combo with the xmax so you won't be craving for more power in the future however if you want to stick with the xmax gray is the best color for me. Here in the Philippines its a very common color for nmax and tmax.

Dude, stay away from both, a brand new Xmax is only 168k baht, the pipe will be fake and probably the ohlins shocks too, also wouldn't be surprised if the mileage has been wound back, yes it can be done with digital clocks with the right software and quite common in Thailand, also looks like the forks are lowered again common in Thailand with the young racer crowd so will probably handle like shit... I'd be very wary buying any second hand Xmax with these type of mods as usually been owned by young dudes that rag the shit out of them, buy new and do your own mods as needed, just my 2c worth.
