Cool video, still in the south? I hope you made it north to see the amazing farmlands

We ended up going East actually. Saving the North for our next run.

What a gorgeous view! Thailand sure is beautiful! I could live there and be very happy. I just think I could never learn to speak the language. After my stroke English was hard enough. I had a rough time at first, remembering the names of certain things. I knew what it was, it would just escape my mind. And things started to come back to me all by themselves but it honestly took about about 3-6 months before I felt like I could communicate like my old self. So trying to learn a new language is not going to happen but I still think I could be happy there. Maybe not without air conditioning though! Lol! Beautiful ride and the sights were awesome! The statue of Buddha with the snake was amazing! And the lake was cool! I like the middle of nowhere! It's so peaceful there! That was fun!❤ Thanks guys!💕

Learning to talk all over again along with everything else had to of felt impossible. You're pretty resilient to have come this far. I don't doubt you could learn 5 languages if you put your mind to it. You're just busy filling your brain with other cool stuff like geology. Oh, and we agree, the middle of nowhere is the best place to be.

I have no idea what a rubber tree looks like. My grandmother used to have a rubber tree plant in a pot, but honestly I don’t know if those are the same thing or not. I enjoy these videos where you just go out exploring in the countryside. They are peaceful and fun.
@TheAdventureCloset2 ай бұрын
I think that is what I (Liz) was confusing it as. Although there are several types of rubber trees apparently. It was interesting to see, nonetheless.

If we can't read it, the sign doesn't exist. Lol! Nah, we try to follow the rules.... mostly! 🤣

It is interesting watching yous learn things there, like using a gas pump. Seeing so much as your drive around :) It is truly beautiful out in the country there 😊

Glad Charlie had the nozzle in the tank before hitting start because it just started pouring right away. Could've been a not so fun, but maybe more entertaining moment. Lol!

imagine you look closely and the guy detecting is me on a vacation waving back. I Wish ! it looks like old tailings piles and a little mine operation where they are, probly old mine. love the vibe as usual, week 4 of hundred plus degrees on the west coast here, not missing much here but politic drama and summer heat. cheers !
@TheAdventureCloset2 ай бұрын
Yeah it could've been a Placer mine, and that would've made our year if that was you out there. And election season is our least favorite time. People just get so mean to eachother. We'd rather be far away from it all.

(Warning: gonna comment as I watch again! Sorrynotsorry in advance!) FRIENDS OF CHEESE! 😂 The translations in Asia crack me up. OMG, the scenery as you drive. Breathtaking. Does it feel like a dream being there? I would imagine so. I wish I could smell the mountain air. What would those people using metal detectors find there? Unless it was some metallic mineral? Wow, the Buddha with a cobra was incredible. I wonder what it was carved out of? I don’t think those were rubber trees, but they were definitely using the sap or whatever it is for something! Wow, those birds are as loud as the cicadas in my yard! Why is Buddhist chanting so calming? 😊 I think it’s so cool how you random white people show up in the middle of nowhere in Thailand! 🤣 Beautiful video, as always. Really enjoy your channel. ❤❤ That was so much fun! 🤩

Never apologize for your amazing comments. Yeah the translations are so funny. It's possible that was a gold Placer mine, but it didn't seem guarded off like most mineral deposits seem to be in Asia. We love the reactions from people not expecting two Americans to come rolling by. We get lots of good laughs. 🤣

That was a really cool statue with the cobra and such a detailed face. The views were just gorgeous there also. Reaĺly nice mountain road Charlie found with even more incredible views! A nice finish to the evening with the buddhist chants from the temple. Another great motorbike adventure video! Loved it! Thanks for the tour! Bye now 👋😊

Very nostalgic !! That's the environment I grew up in Thailand before moving to the "first world" country. Thank you for sharing the simplicity of life, I really miss that :)

You're lucky to grow up in a place like that and now to experience a more modern world. Thailand is quite the jewel.

That breakfast looked really good , at first I thought it was biscuits and gravy and a chicken fried steak. I love all the statues in Asia so flipping cool and the farm land before you get to the chanting looks a lot like Missouri bottoms ( well minus the palm trees ) . I often think of doing something like that , just moving out west and starting a mine or something , of course Shari goes along with it right up until I say I want to go talk to the bank about a loan 🙁🤣🤣 Great video and I can just imagine the stories the store owners tell about the two Americans who stopped in for some drinks, so cool.
@TheAdventureCloset2 ай бұрын
Dude! We could see you running a mine in a museum. It would make for some great content too. Getting loans is scary though.

That was a nice ride. I'm so glad you said something about that helmet! I doubt it would be worth much help but would drive me nuts. I had one that lifted back & it was just a little big with a small visor on it, it got replaced fast! Bet those folks at the last place were very surprised to see two Americans (especially a big man!) just show up. Everyone they see will no doubt hear about it. lol
@TheAdventureCloset2 ай бұрын
That's the best part about going off the beaten path in Asia is the way people react. It's always positive too. Yeah, the helmet wasn't going to do much if Charlie needed it. Guess we got what we paid for on that rental. It was $5 a day.

They're not getting all the inflation in Thailand like in America. It's still basically same prices as 10 years ago when I was there. I wanna move there!!! Thanks for a nice look around again.
@TheAdventureCloset2 ай бұрын
We try to include the prices on everything. Prices in Vietnam and Cambodia were great too. Southeast Asia has done something right. The people seem to live well too.

Maybe. Not sure this area saw action though. Atleast anything in the last few centuries.
