This is a very nice yacht, sleek and modern with nice finishes, but for some reason it is not one I would buy, there is something that just does not click for me. Great tour Hugo thank you.

This is how a modern expensive yacht should look like: Sleek, clean, integrated and minimalist design with very little clutter.

This boat leaves me feeling "antiseptic." It's missing that warm, welcoming, relaxing spirit you'd expect of your escape. Different strokes for different folks, i suppose.

Thanks Hugo for another wonderful video. What San Lorenzo and Nordhavn have in common is you can identify them with a glance. The fuel burn on this yacht must be intense. This boat is up in Pershing territory of speed.

Having rewatched a few Pearl 72 videos, about £3.5m fully specced, they just blow this out of the water.

This is already out of the water as it roars by on the plane doing 38 knots

Comparing Sanlorenzo with Pearl????? Ahahahhahahahaha are you serious mate? Could you compare a Bentley with a Dacia? Come on…

Interesting interior, but the exterior reminds me of a container ship or an trans ocean car transport ship.

Huh, that first deck and upper lounge area, you walk into looks like a waiting room for a lawyer's office or something. It doesn't look comfortable or inviting at all. I wouldn't want to spend anytime in there. The helm doesn't look comfortable either. Even if I had the money, I wouldn't find this boat appealing. Except the hull shape is pretty cool. Thanks for the tour.

I love both the exterior and interior. The finishing is attractive and stylish. I dislike the engine room, though. I want my mechanic to do a good job and he can't if he has to crawl around and squeeze around ducts to fix a problem.

Looks like a modern architect flat, that's rather nice but all the freestanding furniture has to be tied when going at sea?

The question that i would like answered, is can these boats handle rough weather. Lets say, i like cruising between Portsmouth and Guernsey and i got caught in really bad weather.
@RandomGuyRandomNumber12 күн бұрын
Portsmouth to Guernsey is about 140 nm... but the actual "open sea" crossing from the UK coast to the Channel Islands is only 70 nm (with numerous ports of refuge on both ends). At 38 knots, that is about two hours - if you cannot plan a passage to reasonably ensure you do not encounter "really bad weather" within the next hour (before point of no return), you have no business being in charge of a 28 metre yacht. Charter a jet and fly instead - with 9 million Euros to spend, you can afford it. But to answer your question, no, probably not.
@ballerblocks12 күн бұрын
@RandomGuyRandomNumber thank you for the answer to my question. I guess you don't live in England, I would sometimes make plans to go for a walk on a nice summer day, and within an hour, there would be rain, thunderstorms and gusts of wind. Despite what the weather forecast predicted. You can't plot your way out of British weather.
@RandomGuyRandomNumber12 күн бұрын
@@ballerblocks On days with variable or unsettled conditions, the forecast would say so, and as a responsible sailor, you would assess that forecast and make a decision to go to sea or not based on your own personal risk criteria. The fact that conditions are variable IS A FORECAST, and not understanding that is a clear indicator that you have little or no experience at sea, and again, you have no business being master of a 28 metre yacht. Rain, thunderstorms and gusts of wind may be unpleasant while at sea, but they are extremely unlikely to affect the sea state enough in less than an hour to prove life-threatening to a 28 metre POWER boat. And passage planning is not the same as plotting... but yes you can PLAN your way out of the British weather with 100% guaranteed safety - by not leaving harbour in the first place.
@ballerblocks12 күн бұрын
@RandomGuyRandomNumber in summary thanks but no thanks, this is a perfect example of a cyclical debate, in order to prove a point that's mute. Can the boat survive bad weather? yes or no. Is the weather forecast a suggestion? Yes. Is there any logic in preparing for the worst possible weather?...yes. And the big elephant in the room..... someone needs recognition as an accomplished sailor. Which begs the question ❓ where have you sailed, over what time zones, how many nautical miles of sailing have you accrued..ok great, you are amazing. But pls I just wanted to know the sea state classification and endurance of the said boat, maybe I enjoy bad weather sailing.
@RandomGuyRandomNumber12 күн бұрын
@@ballerblocks Er, that would be a MOOT point... and by your own reckoning there are more than one, so... And a bad weather sailor considering a waterjet powered Italian gin palace and NOT KNOWING WHY IT IS TOTALLY UNSUITABLE ? No, I don't think so, more of an armchair sailor trying to sound as if he knows what they are talking about ("bad weather" is such a nebulous concept and you specified the range in your question, so again, no). And my apologies for offering my knowledge to a stranger who clearly lacks any (what is the relevance of "over what time zones" ?). I should have realised that would offend you... for reasons...
