For those with older and more affordable boats you can use a anchor alarm app on your phone next to you so you will hear it and you don't need to buy a new plotter with all the bells and whistles!

You should have spoken about how putting out too much chain will cause the boat to yaw, thereby increasing the chances of dragging the anchor. Although the two anchors on the bow sounds nice, the anchor chains/lines can become very tangled with changes in the wind and current. This would preclude leaving the anchorage quickly if the need arose. The running a line ashore idea is just selfish and inconsiderate of others. At night, it endangers any craft passing by and could damage the property of the land owner. Furthermore, you have to trespass to do it.

Do you have a technique for getting the line out of the prop of the first boat that came along and had no idea you had an additional line going to the shore ???

You didn't actually show how to drop and set the anchor neither did you show how to tie the bridle to quiet the chain. Not much help!

I love how the English butcher their own language through horrible and lazy mis-pronunciation. Sounds like Michael Caine !! But I love the bridle idea..the payout from the tender another great idea...hate those grapnels as well.... there's no such thing as a "nice piercing noise!" LOL.... Don't like front-and-stern anchors because of the wind that can make for a very uncomfortable night. Better to sway with the wind... you are obviously a professional deck hand or skipper and know your stuff... awesome vid.

Lots of talk and good info but know demo. Same with taking the weight off of the chain, not very clear. Very dissapointing.
