MOTORCYCLE Around France in 8 Days! (Highlights) …No drama , just the ride.

Highlights from a road trip we did in March 2024 . My wife and I on our 2022 Road King Special . We had no plan , nothing booked, just needed to escape! Leaving the UK via the channel Tunnel to deal with 14 hours straight hard riding , blasted by wind and rain to reach the stunning cliff top village … our first destination ‘Rocamadour’ . Only then we find the sun . We Travelled along the Pyrenees then raced to The French Riviera, before heading along side the Alps through the national parks .. some stunning roads , some good times , some tough days .. that’s what motorcycling is … if truth be told I think a lot of people ride a motorcycle but want a Tesla . Expect too much.. there will be hard times , you’ll endure them or just go buy that car .

Thanks for kind words . It really is not that hard … with the internet to book places to stay or find a garage … with sat nav , it’s hard to get lost . With the channel tunnel to connect us to Europe. You could always do a day trip and see how you feel . The tunnel is so easy to use . Best wishes ..

Hello. Always have a smile 😃 on my face when I see a new video footage of the Warrior Road King. I love the road, the solitude the surroundings the landscape and people you meet and met al sorts, and riding in the rain 🌧️? To me it’s therapeutic. I ride in all weather conditions. My night train purchased new in 2008 and put 107 thousand miles on the beast , and loved every minute of it, lots of rust but still going strong , so when I see riders like your self and your love one with you it’s refreshing. Dennis Hopper Proper Mark and Lisa. Just brilliant. Thank you for sharing again.

Ah man , too kind .. I the night train , if I could afford a 2nd bike that would be it . I remember when they first come out , I had a really cheap 1200 Sportster at the time , and I saw a Night Train in this little garage I used to go too . I literally jaw dropped . I think it’s one of the best looking bikes Harley done . It’s kinda simple but tough as hell. I literally look at the used ones weekly . That’s some crazy mileage brilliant to read that . Too many people don’t ride these machines . My good pal just bought a totally original 1985 softail (kickstart model ) with 3000 miles on it !!!!! I mean great for him . But to think that was the year me and Lisa started dating , we was kids !! That bike has only gone 3000 miles . So sad . Hope that Night Train does another 100 ! Best wishes dude from us both .

The night train as served me well over the years, its in a work shop for miner work, with that kind of mileage you will encore some work. I did go out and brought a 2013 fat boy two weeks ago still kept the night train of course lol but I’m sorry to say I’m not feeling it 😑. Different ride. I did see you HD sportster and it looked awesome. It looked used . I love that. I bet you still miss it? Safe riding lovely people.

@@user-mk5zo7tx1r glad you kept Night train . I don’t think I’ve posted anything of my sportster up . You’ve probably seen photos or clip of my old chopper , I had that for 13 years until we got knocked off by a van , sadly it got written off . We was doing 50mph and both ended up 30 metre down the road . She took too much damage . It was a 1989 Springer softail originally. But I made a lot of changes . But I love the 1340 evo engine . Racked up so many miles and adventures. Gutted to lose that one . But lucky I made it out of that crash virtually unscathed, I only had open face joggers and t shirt no gloves , but some how I flipped rather than slid . So just a fracture ankle and cuts bruises .

It was a cool bike - chopper and I do remember the story behind it. I’m glad you had a lucky escape from that accident. Safe travels my friend and looking forward to the next one.

Love this video, wonderful part of the world. Those long days are just a necessity i guess to get places, will you keep planning in those days or spread things out? I have only just started with the Mrs on the back so max 4 hours per day is our limit at the moment. I would love a road king but its a big jump up from my Guzzi V7.

Our next big trip will be polar opposite.. because it’ll be hot and we shall spend more time on beaches and eating tapas ! 4 hours is plenty long enough .. we was kinda on the run on that trip . It's going to take us sometime to build up to trips like yours, we are in the south west so some weekenders and a trip up to the WSBK at Donington is our next couple of months.
