Doooodeee! Thank you! I’ve been searching and searching for this kind of video! Definitely fixed my rear brake light not wanting to come on when applying my rear brakes!
@sv650nyc76 жыл бұрын
Very helpful video since it's so important and easy to adjust. I also set my rear brake switch so it comes on as soon as I move the lever a few millimeters. That way I can trigger the brake light when downshifting and a car is behind me. My SV650 can come to a near stop by engine breaking alone, so I rarely use the rear brake when at speed.

Just saved me from buying a replacement switch. My brake light was solid and wouldn't respond to the front and rear so thought it had a short in one of the two. Turns out the rear brake light switch just needed to be adjusted and soon enough the brake light went to normal and both front and rear respond perfectly. A BIG thank you for sharing this.

Bingo,perfect I have the hawk 250 doing all kinds of mods at the same time from LED headlight to battery phone charger and I found a pink wire disconnected underneath the headlight in the bundle without thinking I just plugged it back in figuring i must’ve done it which I still left it plugged in but I literally tore the whole thing back apart gas tank off yeah headlamp off taillight lens off and looking for a relay or anything bad wire. It was exactly what you’re showing there in your video. Thanks man.

Nice advice on getting the brake light adjusted. I see that you have put your pods on the end of venturis. Great idea as there’s not enough room to squeeze pods in directly very well on this engine. Have you done a video on how you adjusted jetting etc for this setup? The reason I am asking is that I have the European version of the 96 CB750 with the same engine. I am making up 2 cylindrical airboxes which will attach to the back of the original 1 into 2 rubber venturis. These will be about 110mm diameter and 60mm long and have a large K & N on the back of each. I am hoping these will work better than 4 individual pods but don’t really know how to go about working out jet sizes, needle heights etc.

just to add to your video. i had the light's come on ok with the pedal working like that. give it a bit more (like a harder brake) would go out (had to play about with the switch it's self to find a sweet spot). it is a bad switch. can't say if it's a OEM or a copy. the bike is a 98 VFR. just a keep in mind test for you all from what i have seen.

Thanks for the video. I am working through a problem with my 03 V Star 1100 Custom. Brake light staying on all the time. I have cleaned the bulb holder, changed the bulb and checked the fuses. So I am thinking it is the switches. I did have the back brakes done in 08-2019 and didn't ride a lot after that. I will check the Plunger and the front switch. Have you done a video on removing and repairing the front switch?
