R NineT, S1000R, S1000XR and the RR. Last time they tried sth new was roughly 10 years ago, when they released theyre first super Bike and crushed it first try 😅 the new iterations of the R and RR are engineering master pieces, called boring for lack of character. Character in the context of engineering means flaws 😂 Yes - Ive been driving bmw motorcycles for 10+ years now, currently owning the new s1000r. I don't get the hate😅

Suzuki and BMW, opposite ends of the list for the same reason? Suzuki hasn't actually changed much, but BMW doesn't deserve that. The feature lists on BMW bikes are insane, from different suspension setups, to giant screens, stock gps, factory lowered suspension for short guys wanting to ride adventure bikes, shift cam for low end torque on a supersport and the list goes on and on. You mentioned specifically the R Nine T which caters to a specific purist crowd similarly to HD. Across the rest of their lineup which is huge for their size they have tons of exclusive features and unique bikes.

I'm happy you included RE, I'm not even going to complain about the ranking. Yeah, the Int650 is a slower bike. I got it as a beginner bike and it's been fantastic for that purpose. Cheap, pretty, and so far, pretty reliable. It's got pretty decent standard features and a 3-year roadside & full warranty with every bike. This is not a speedy bike, it's just for riding around enjoying yourself. So if you're younger or have been riding for a couple years, you may not be interested (it does make a great commuter though). It's definitely not a weekend toy for tearing up twisties.

Wonder bread boy here! The Versys 650 is my first bike. Only really ridden dirt bikes before, and my boys old 750 katana. I love it. It’s very beginner friendly imo, and I can see much better since it is a fairly tall bike. A bit boring for sure, but, I’m ok with that. It’s something good to learn on if you don’t want to go to a smaller engine and bike.

Overall, I think the brands ranking list is a good idea to note. I have thought about this but never heard anyone say anything about it. I would have like to hear you elaborate more on Husq and the 701 Svart. I was not sure what you were getting at but the 701 Svart. and Husq. for putting that out I would rank them higher. I think they were being innovative and forward thinking about that brand. BMW in the 90's would have been at the top of this list but they started trying to make their bikes like the Japanese brand and I think they loss their identity and uniqueness but might sell more motorcycles as a result. Ducati is pushing it maybe more than others right now.

Nothing about going for a long day ride and covering half the distance cause I have to sit and wait for a charge sounds appealing or having to plan my ride around charging stations. I'll admit I have never ridden one but for me sound is half the fun and riding a motorcycle that sounds like an RC car doesn't sound appealing to me as well. To each their own though and safe riding!

@@ridethetiger1895 I thought the same until I test rode energica ego. And man this bike was so existing to ride it got it's own corky feel and character like for example if you're going pass 120kph or 75mph it's just kicks in a mental mode and pull even harder like some from of turbo kick in and even the sound changes. Also, the instant torque is so fun. But the issue with other ev bikes like zero bikes yes they got that instant torque but they lose the power and there is nothing left in the top end but not ego it pulls very hard and won't stop until the speed limiter kicks in. Also, I took it to 250km or 155miles trip with a lot of twisty roads and charged it 2 times for 30mins each charge meanwhile I was drinking coffee and eating a snack so it was okay for me. And newer models have faster charge time, longer range and lighter weight.

The Janus honorable mention was hilarious! For those that don't know, janus is an American motorcycle brand that makes antique small displacement motorcycles. The most notable things about them are that almost all of their parts are made locally either by themselves or some local Amish crafters. Only the engine and fenders are outsourced, with the engine being a Chinese version of the xr250 engine. Their motorcycles are extremely lightweight, with all their 250s weighing in around 260lbs wet and their halcyon 450 weighing in around 350lbs. These bikes are very simple and designed to be worked on at home. No frills, carbureted (in 2021!) And even has a kickstart feature. With all this in mind they still come in at a very reasonable price.

Before you bash on suzuki, know this: They are currently one of the only manufacturers who are reducing costs for the same product instead of charging more for an arguably better one. Its all well and good selling a M1000rr for north of 30 grand, but is it better value for money than a 14k GSXR? In case you havent noticed, wages are stagnant but the price of all products is increasing. We need more brands like suzuki if motorcycling is to survive. Same as kawasaki, i dont see anyone else slashing the price of their 600 or 1000cc supersport and still provide a good update. Everyone else sticks electronics, tft, imu, anti wheelie, etc… and charges 2 grand more. It has to stop.

@Fearless154
@Fearless154 2 жыл бұрын
That is not an issue today. Not only today Ducati is one of the most reliable brands but their dealer network and parts availability are good too. I had 2015 1299 bought it brand new and had over 60k miles on the bike never had a serious problem. The main issue is it drains the battery like crazy if you let the ignition on after the engine is hot the fans will drain the battery and the bike will struggle to crank. But other than that one of the most reliable motorcycles I ever owned I abused it and it never failed me and also, had any part I need in 3 to 7 days max. I feel it's more accurate to Aprilia. Now I own tuono 11000rr and my QS has died and the bike just cut the power in first gear thinking I want to shift. Not only I waited 1 month for the QS but it was a pain in the ass to get the bike for a big service because Aprilia specialists are always busy in my nearest Aprilia dealership. So it's the last Aprilia for me but I'll be more than happy to get Ducati again.

IMO cfmoto brings colour and flavour to a market which is attracting women and shorter riders. Shit I am a 50yr old female at 5'6 and it was the styling, weight, price, uniqueness, solid reputation and more that drew me to this brand. Everyone stops and asks about my 300nk no matter what their personal flavour is. I think CF Moto could care less about the USA market because the prejudice against flash in the pan Chinese brands might be too big of a barrier to bother trying to overcome even though the brand has been around for almost 30 years Thank God I live in Australia and have this choice of bike.

After only 5,000kms I've had to replace the cylinder head assembly, both sprockets, have the ECU sent back to the factory for a retune because it NEVER sees the claimed range. There's almost no aftermarket support for it even though the 650GT is basically a copy of the Kawasaki ER6N engine. I must admit, I've always been kind of 'Meh' with Yamaha. The build quality and reliability isn't quite as good as Honda, Kawasaki or BMW, the prices are good value (although in recent years the prices have been creeping up quite a lot), but for me Suzuki still offer the best value for the money, and the MT range, while great bikes, especially for beginners, is very formulaic to me and that is not a work to stoke passions. I know there's a big following of the UJM and maybe Yamaha are just doing the modern equivalent and I just haven't yet appreciated that, but no Yamaha really tickles my ticklish bits in the way other brands bikes can and even with the R1, I still prefer the looks 09-14 generation over the current one.
