This is stupid. But I want to say that this was 36 and a half minutes of my life well spent. I miss these videos and I finally left a like because it's cool to just sit back and chill and pretend that you're hanging out with a friend. No product reviews, no sponsor bs, no like and subscribe, no anything. Just chill, hangout session with a random person with the same interests as you. You'll probably never see this FTB but these videos were a big part of me beginning to ride. Hope all is well with you and thanks for the memories/inspiration

Great video. I'm rather new to your channel, and I really like your format. Keep it up! I leave soon for a 5 night motorcycle camping trip with a buddy into the N, Georgia mountains. One location for one night, and four nights at a second location. I do not ride to far off road since I have a Kawasaki Concours 14, but there is nothing compared to getting lost in your thoughts while on the bike and camping and distancing yourself from the routines of daily life.

I can really relate to both your description of your relationship with your bike and your preference for solo riding. I'm in WI and ride a KLR 650. I'm hoping to get out and do some camping this summer but usually just ride woods trails. I love being way out there on a bike.

Where can you do moto camping at in Wisconsin? Is there public land up there where this sort of thing is possible?
@SwankyCatProductions5 жыл бұрын
@@FridaysTheBomb yes definitely, in the northern counties (about an hour from me) I'm fairly certain you can set up camp anywhere on the county land as long as your not blocking a trail. No permit or payment required. Ambition is required and so far that's been my issue haha. I'll just keep watching you and maybe that'll change.

I love my beer I do drink whiskey from time to time but not a lot . My wife said she doesn’t like me drinking whisky because I fall asleep . 😃 I ride a Vstrom ‘ now it’s a heavy bike and do pretty much the same as you and enjoy it. In the winter I camp when it’s -40f we snow shoe in & out. It’s great to hear the Timber wolfs at night especially if their close. It makes the hair stand up on your neck it’s a rush . I don’t drink alcohol in the winter because it dehydrates you quickly. Winter camping is busy busy all the time. You don’t sit around much and snow shoes and x country skiing are a real workout. 🇨🇦 Nice video cheers ride safe.

And I also have a Honda XR 650l 2018. I live in the Sierra Nevada mountains kinda near Yosemite. It’s the perfect bike for this area. I can smash on the highways and go straight out onto the trails. My girl and I did a trip off Hwy 108 recently. A bit big and heavy for single track stuff, especially going two top. I usually bring my Smith and Wesson model 686, 7 shot 357 revolver. Figure it’s enough for what ever we have in Northern Ca.

Digging your vids. Question: with doing your food prep, cooking and eating at your tent, dies that not bring the critters to your door? Up here on the west coast of Canada we’re taught to have a sleeping site and a cooking/eating site when wild camping to keep the bears from coming and snuggling up with us while we sleep.
@FridaysTheBomb5 жыл бұрын
I've never had a problem with animals coming around. I put all the scraps in a bag, tie it tight, and roll it up into the dry bag on the motorcycle. I think it masks the scent of the food. I've also hung the bag away from the tent before.
