Just lost my Daddy. I was grieving so hard. My husband stumbled upon this. It truly soothed my soul. The footage of God's Handiwork took my breath away. The music capture my attention and I forgot all the pain. This sparked my adventurous spirit and I can't wait to see more! Thank you for taking us along this journey with your precious family!

The two little girls playing. I am 43. I totally forgot about how easy it was to make friends at that age, and how great it was to have someone to pal around with. You get older and more closed off it seems at least for me. So sad what people letting you down will do to a person. That magical youth though when everything seemed possible and a good pal at a campout was the greatest thing in the world. I hope those girls stay friends for life. If I could ask for anything from this trip it is that. Those childhood friendships burn deep and arent flimsy. Dude, thank you for providing your daughter that opportunity. She will remember these trips well into her golden years long after you have gone, she will think back and still smile. You are doing it right. That is Dadding. Oh wow. I saw one of the girls teaching the other girl what looked like cheerleading. lol Amazing! I almost remember what it was like to be a kid again! In my mid 20s I was pretty sure I hated kids. Especially girls, I thought they were boring. Then I met this girl who I ended up my girlfriend for 3 years. She was a gymnast and would talk me into going to her gym sometimes. She introduced me to the girls she coached when she was not being coached. Not only were they fun, but cool. 100 times funnier than boys. From that day forward I didnt hate kids anymore, and I discovered an amazing secret that the girls were more fun to be around than the boys were.

So this reminds me of my childhood in Europe. Waaay back in the 70's we lived in Portugal and we owned a pop top landrover... My parents would throw us two kids in the back and we would take off on adventures to many places: Morocco, Spain France, Tunisia, basically overlanding. My dad built a stove on the back door, and some cubby holes in the interior for our stuff. I remember my sister and I waking up in the roll out canvas beds and being handed semi burnt toast with jam for breakfast looking out over some Pyrenees valley, driving up into the ski area for the day then taking Landy back down to find a spot to camp for the night. Awesome video guys.

Thank you for the ride of adventure with you and your family. With your drone, and music added to your story, you both are very talented and outdoor enthusiasts like me. I live northwest west of Tok, Alaska next to Mount Neuberger of mile high beauty, in the deep white spruce forest. Since I lost my only 22 year old son in Minnesota yers ago, I had a calling to come here to stay, and everyday, I love it more. Moose walks next to my log home, and within 10 feet from the guest house. Ptarmigans families made my acreage their home. Sled dog trails come in and out from Rufus Rd to the Eagle Trail sled dog run. Caribou run on the Rufus Rd too within 200 feet from the house. Your adventure is a very beautiful testimony on the beauty of Alaska. Thank you!

Holy Schmolly, I just watched this entire video. What a beautifully shot and narrated piece. The work you must have put into this video to make it flow so well had to be a gargantuan process. The memories built with Caroline will always be there for her in her mind. I was stationed in Fairbanks for three years and our little family traveled all over Alaska while there. So many places you went brought those memories rushing back. After my three years there we would drive back every couple of years with our furthest drive back being from Florida. It was always a beautiful trip. Thanks for bringing the memories back and thanks for such a beautiful video trip with you and your family.

What i found so helpful for me was the size of your video of over 3 hours and the honest approach in describing your difficult decisions during your trip. I am 69 now and just bought a ford ranger , to develop into a capable overlanding vehicle. When I was young I crossed Africa from the west to the east with an Unimog Mercedes truck and a roof tent. It took us 10 months. This shared experience with my wife shaped my later life. I am looking forward to see your next travel report. All the best for you and your family. With respect Rudolf

I suppose the amount of time spent determines whether it makes sense to fly and rent a rig or drive your own. The rentals I looked at were several hundred dollars per day. I also found that the old adage "getting there is half the fun" definitely holds true when driving through Canada to get to Alaska, especially if you drive up through Jasper and Banff.

Great story, good luck to you and your family, i love it ! We travelled all over the top end of Australia and the Kimberley after selling our property in Humpty Doo, south of Darwin and then went on to travel the east coast of Australia. Open access college ( like school of the air ) were great. My son was called ' mr google ' when he joined mainstream schools as the teacher would have to look up his knowledge - you know - just to check the info he was telling them that he knew from real life experiences was actually a real thing...

Camping Permits? - I didn't use pass while in Fairbanks Alaska working at Bassett Community Hospital. BUT, I did an OB intake sheet requesting ethnicity. LoL, because an hr later I knew multiple tribes beside the Eskimo! - Initial search going slowly. I see highlighted regions, and know of over 5 tribes. Could you consider a short video on acquiring such a pass. I do remember fly-in only areas still exist. - YOU ate wild berries too! Spectacular fresh off bushes. Had a tour group guide wonder what we were doing. Bus stopped, we skipped tour, both my High School teens and I bolted to the ditches for yellow berries. Everyone enjoyed our find. My van was full of dirt, from driving to Circle from Fairbanks, over a yr. That was my Bosses starting point to hunt and fish. Chena Hot springs gone? Google Map search says not close? Oophs Ooooh, never drove a creek bed! Quess you did to Loretta Lynn's first home. I have a chainsaw class on my To Do List.
