Good advice, as an adventure rider & needing to stand up I'm not going to give up my bar risers. I would benefit from lowering the footpegs. My knees are too bent but that gives me a whole pile of 2ndary issues with gear & brake levers. I'm still thinking about it. I spent ages setting up the bars after fitting the Bark Busters. Little changes can make big differences.

Hi Bernie, it's all there to think about, as you say small changes can make a big difference 👍

Hey up Steve, thanks for dropping positive comment, hope it's helped, there's a lot of people who don't set their bike up to make it comfortable, ride safe, Simon B 👍

@@SIMONB1 There also seems to be a lotta people who add risers and lowered foot pegs and all sorts of stuff without first doing this basic procedure.

Too true Steve, basic stuff really on the video, but really helps 👍

This video will come to a disappointment to those folks who are convinced that they need to fit a cheap Chinese riser to their GS! Another factor I was taught at a machine handling course was to lock the body core to the bike by gripping the tank. This is OK for me on the GSA, I´m 6ft6in, but not easy with the standard GS tank. Thanks for posting this informative video, Nick

@@SIMONB1 I'm like a kid in a sweetie shop at moment , I watch so many reviews, and modern bikes are all so good. The obvious would be to take a bigger KTM, my list of bikes I like the look of include Ducati Monster, Triumph Trident, Yamaha Mt-07, BMW F900 or GS750 but as I'm getting on in years (62) something like the GS has merits for comfort and then there's the likes of your lovely CCM. I don't think I'll be touring, it'll be days out with just me and the bike :-)
@SIMONB12 жыл бұрын
Sounds good, you want a scrambler type of bike, sat upright, comfy and be able to see over cars and hedges , 62 just run in, loads if time left 😁, whatever it will be you'll enjoy it, ride safe, Simon B 👍
