They look really good and could do with them as i am starting to suffer with shoulder pain from leaning forwards on my bike. One thought though which may be me not understanding them properly, it seems like the small silver coloured grub screws are the only thing preventing the handle bars from sliding forwards and off the mount? I imagine the manufacturer has designed and tested the strength of those grub screws when confronted with heavy off road use or involvement in an accident. whats your thoughts after using them for a year or so?

Hey there. Thanks for watching and your question. They have made a real difference to me on the bike both sitting and when up on the pegs. Much more comfortable on long journeys for me with the ability to move the handle bars forwards and back. The biggest difference has been when standing on the pegs. Really great riding position now and much more able to ride off in a better position. I would recommend bar risers definitely and the variable ones from SW Motech if you want the ability to position handle bars horizontally as well as vertically. Cheers. Billy

I would test the full lock to left and right to check cable lengths before tightening.

The sw-motech bar back variable come also with a steep price (170 euros) are there any alternatives from other brands?
@BillysBikeAdventures
@BillysBikeAdventures 2 жыл бұрын
There are others out there but likely not as good as quality as the SW Motech. I don't mind looking for cheaper alternatives when it comes to tool box or other things like that but handlebar risers, I want good quality for safety. Hope you find what you are looking for! Cheers Billy

@@BillysBikeAdventures Thank you for your reply Billy, if indeed the sw-motech scream quality I would rather not to cheapout on these bars either.

Hope you have found an alternative, Try Rox Risers if not.

I might advise you use a torque wrench as you seem to put alot of force through the hex/alen key you were using to tighten stuff up.
