If a two-stroke engine makes noise and two-stroke fumes, that’s a runner. I’ll count ‘em all! Four stroke rules are a little more complicated. Love this lot of bikes, numerous vintage dirt bikes, and I especially like the TS100.

I just barely picked up a 78 ct90 myself about 2 weeks ago here in Utah. It had been sitting essentially dormant in my neighbors backyard shed since 2005. A bit of fuel system cleaning and a new battery it fired up. Then a whole lot of lubricant and some new tires. Now it’s back on the road registered and insured. I’ve already been stopped twice by officers thinking I’m on an unlocked electric bike. Ha the surprise on their faces when they come up to it and see that it’s a little motorcycle.

These are not mine. I am helping a friend curate his collection. His has 70-80 motorcycles. Currently we are assessing each one, trying to get them running with what they show up with, so we can determine what they need.
@MrAmartin83 ай бұрын
Starting fluid is made for diesel engines . Carb or brake part cleaner is the safer way to go as long as it's not the environmental water base stuff .... Also on the 50-70-90 Honda's that have an auto clutch there will be a adjusting screw for the clutch on the right engine cover . One more thing the Kawasaki's of the KZ750 era usually have prime position on the pet cock . Sure do like that Jump box ... I think what you were calling a CL125 is an XR125 . Did you notice the shocks were up side down on the XL250 ... And your determination to get these bikes running despite where you are working outside says a lot ...

Great video. Lots of work ahead. When I go look at questionable bikes I check oil, power, if it turns and then I shoot carb cleaner directly into the air side intake on the carb. If it pops I know spark, compression and air works. On the small engines the usual problem is fuel.

I can’t stand when people hoard stuff like this. It’s fine if they’re for a museum or to be shown off to others, but there’s no reason they’re own all these bikes other than you got money in your greedy.
