Hi. No, we only use butter-based cakes. Best for carved/sculpted cakes is the pound cake.

If I understood your question right, I used buttercream frosting to cover the cake before covering it with fondant.

What is the size of the cake? How many grams of fondant to prepare for that size of cake. Thanks

Hi. The cake is 7 inch in diameter. You would need around 750 grams of fondant.

For the gray rim and the blue base you would need around 250 grams of fondant.

What is the hexagon tool you used called?

I'm not sure what its called. I'm guessing its just called hexagon fondant cutter. Its made of plastic and it comes in 3 sizes.
