Dude, in 1:04 your chain seems kinked and dry. Great job at changing the oil, but please use a torque wrench next time. Open the oil fill cap before opening the drain plug to let the air in and help oil flow. You don’t need front paddock stand for this. Great job measuring the right amount of oil.

Cool video but theres some very interesting methods of doing things.... Also make sure those pins on your rear paddock stand are tight. They are rotating backwards when you lift the bike. I also would not use a power drill on the air box screws. You should also invest in a proper funnel at some point.😅

Love the video, but curious why you oiled a crush washer of the drain plug (doesn’t need to be oiled), but not the oil filter rubber seal?

More lube is always better. I did oil the filter gasket just not on camera.

Worth noting for the future though, while more lube is more better is often true, crush washers prefer a dry surface since they’re using plastic deformation to make the seal rather than elastic. Oil between the washer and mating surface could potentially cause a sealing issue, though unlikely. Rubber seals are constantly under elastic deformation, so you want to make sure they can retain an optimal shape under pressure, while crush washers permanently crush into the tiny shapes between the two surfaces to make their seal, and lube can interfere with that process.

Those filters come with pre lubricated filter gaskets. That is why they have the plastic cover. Its not a lot of lube on there, but enough to ensure the gasket doesn't bind upon tightening.

First of all, the video is really enjoyable to watch. However, I would advise viewers to do a few things differently. For an oil change, I don't think it's enough to just let the engine run for a while. Ideally, you should get on the bike and warm it up properly, as well as rev it higher once it's warm. This loosens oil deposits in the engine and flushes them out of the engine during the oil change. This simply does not work with the engine running at idle speed. It is also advisable to leave the oil drain plug open together with the oil filter and the oil filler neck so that no negative pressure is created and the oil can drain optimally. In the video, the oil filter was left on the engine and only removed after the oil drain plug was fitted, which in my opinion is counterproductive for the reasons just mentioned. And speaking of the oil drain plug, it should be tightened with a torque wrench. It is also advisable to lubricate the rubber seal of the new oil filter with the new oil so that it is not damaged by friction when tightening. I also recommend an oil funnel with a flexible neck for the MT-09, so that you don't have to position the MT-09 as adventurously as shown in this video. However, I must praise the replacement of the sealing ring for the oil drain plug. Unfortunately, many hobby mechanics neglect to do this. Sorry to be a smartass, but these are things that my father always preached to me and that I have been meticulous about ever since. Maybe I'm just too German and fussy. Greetings from Bavaria 😂
