Very enjoyable I've travelled that area many times, on business, but always on the main roads. I never realised what beautiful back roads i could have used, if i wasn't always in a hurry.

"the GoPro doesn't do it justice" you said referring to riding up hill, but the sound of that motor chugging along as it was conquering that ascent sure was. Still not convinced that is the stock Exhaust you have there, I love that sound to bits, but then, I suppose i've always had a soft spot for a thumper! I'm sure that sign should say "Road Works Ahead", and not "Road Closed" That could be a lengthy diversion for some, who are not as brave as you are, to chance it! I'm loving these trips around the north, it's so different to where I grew up down south. Thanks again, see ya on the next Ramble.

I have actually changed the silencer on Harold recently, so he is a bit louder now, fitted an Enfield Precision one. I'm afraid at the moment there's road closures and road works all over. They often leave them in place at a weekend even though no ones working. Pity they're not putting more effort and money into repairing our roads. Thanks for watching Steve.

Another great ride, with info I wasn’t aware of. Didn’t know Pocklington was second only to York at one time, but not surprised. You must have picked the busiest day of the year for going through Huggate! Lol. Never seen anywhere like that number it all the times I’ve ridden through. Similar with Millington dale, it was deserted last time. That route from Howden to Pocklington is one I use very frequently when heading to the Wolds or just Seaways. Last Saturday being the most recent.

Hi Mate good to see ya back again . Great stream . I love these roads . Where i live in Ireland the old bog roads would be great on Harold. Please couold you let me have the name of the worriers grave that was found in Pocklington. My son is crazy on Keltic history and is studying history at the mo at uni . He siad that he could have been a King of a Keltic tribe or the son of the king. I will let you know what he finds out . Many thanks again 👍👍👍👍

Thanks for watching again, glad your finding these interesting. I'm afraid the warrior is anonymous but assumed to be of high status due to being buried with his chariot and horses. I only briefly touched on this burial in the video but he was part of a find that included about 160 graves thought to be of the Arras culture of East Yorkshire.
