Just looking at these really like the green/ legacy version best. What’s mod’s would you recommend firstly, hopefully you’ll heal well and be back on your bike soon
@old-n-GoldieКүн бұрын
Personally, I think the bike is pretty good 'as is' and I would suggest just running it as standard for a while when you do get one to see how it fits you. Having said that, for me the suspension could be improved and I have posted a video on my channel about fitting upgrade units. I also thought the clocks were laid down a little too flat so fitted the Moore Speed mounting bracket kit. There's a video about this on the channel as well. There are now a number of accessories available like exhaust systems, luggage, tail tidy etc so you can customise it to suite your needs. Be interested to know if you do end up getting one, and what you end up changing. Cheers Rog

Started to watch last night but was tired and not concentrated so i've started it a new this morning. Nice to hear we'll be treated to a Pt 3. I'm in UK now and heading up from Sussex (*Bro) thru Cotswolds to Shrewsbury (*Sis) then on to Merseyside (*friend). Afterwards i'm out to Doncaster and your neck of the woods (*you?) for a few days before riding down to E. Anglia and then back to Dover ferry and "home", all in the space of 3 weeks. Another great ramble with historical interest. I’ve been looking at trying that Far ings route in Barton. I sometimes call at the Cafe on the riverbank in the park whose gateway you turned round at. For reasons I don’t know, have never been to the bike night. Have seen stuff on KZbin & it did look good & as you say very busy. Had to laugh at your V Max tale. I suppose that explains riding an old Harley, lol. Hope the recovery is still going to plan & you are back tinkering & riding as soon as possible.
@old-n-Goldie3 күн бұрын
Thanks Martin, I've been to Barton many times but it's the first time I've used that route and first time to Far Ings. Glad you liked the V-max tale, must say it was a bit of a turning point for me but I do get more enjoyment from my riding now. You see much more when your bimbling round the back roads. Leg mending slowly, just have to be patient but I'll get back to the bikes eventually. Cheers Rog

Just subscribed as I’m interested in the Goldstar. I have a 2020 himmy which is my go to bike having done lands end to John O’Grotes as well as st David’s to Ness point and the lakes much of wales and the south coast. I fitted a tec cam to mine at 9k and when the chain and sprockets were done at 12k I upped the front to 16 tooth …. It’s just shy of 20k now. A very much enjoyed bike and perfectly suited to exploring the lanes of the Staffordshire moorlands where I live. I hope you are still enjoying it

Hi Rog, unless you're holding back info, it certainly seems as though everything is progressing in the right direction..., and that is always good news. Don't know when you were at the caravan, but this past week, we've had similar temps, which I too don't like. Around 22° tops, is enough for me, they say that heat adversity is a sign of getting old..., cheeky lot, i've only just turned 70! After seeingn you working the nuts and bolts here, I don't think i'll ever look at a 10er spanner in the same way again. Oh well, heres wishing ya a ton of patience, and rapid progress. Take care S.
@old-n-Goldie21 күн бұрын
No, not holding anything back Steve. This issue with the lower break needing a bit of persuasion is really the first set back I've had and hopefully this adjustment will get things back on track. I filmed it on Saturday 20th but its been getting cooler since then. I would have preferred imperial size fittings and spanners but then I was brought up with feet and inches 🤣🤣🤣 Cheers Rog
