You used 3x3 instead of 2x3 like they call for? I have a nice supply of 2x4 and was thinking of using that for the base, wondering if it would work well.

If you don't have to buy it.... use what you have, I'm sure 2x4 will be fine. I have a habit of making everything heavy duty..... Thanks for the comment and watching !

For the rotisserie I would just get 2 50 dollar engine stands

And what about the center section ?

@@guzzifabrication3448 Do you mean the jig itself or the fact the two stands would not be connected to each other at the base? I'll respond to both. The jig itself is just fine and the two car engine stands don't need to be connected to function. If you wanted to you could tie them together with tubing and change the wheel on one stand from fixed to swivels with locks.
