You can get a speed of 30mph on a straight. Using a decent bicycle. I know a few people that recently started biking and they have went 45 down hills (not steep). A cop friend told me he doesn't chase bikes ever. He gets close enough to read the tag and backs off. For someone like this a chopper just follows out of sight, directing the cops to them. They rarely get away. Even large groups have to stop for fuel. They once arrested 60 bikers at a time and confiscated the bikes. Because they were street racing, the bikes are taken and auctioned off. A few stolen bikes were recovered.

Even a chopper has a hard time in some cases. I remember watching a video where a group of riders went into a tunnel and switched bikes and jackets. If you're riding with a group, especially at night, even the chopper can be deceived. But there really is no point in cops in cars trying to chase riders. It just becomes more dangerous and you end up making the very thing you're trying to prevent even worse. I remember watching a video of a cop going 130mph in the shoulder just trying to catch a bike for speeding. I mean... how is that worth it? The cop even puts the nose of his car right up against the guy's bike, inches from touching it, while they're both doing 100+. I mean... really? For speeding? Come on. If you're trying to stop the bike because speeding is dangerous, how is it logical to make the situation more dangerous in your effort to get him stopped? It really makes no sense. Cops need to remember they're not running from YOU, they're running from the police. Don't take it so personally. Just let them go. In most cases, cops actually make the situation worse by trying to block a bunch of riders on the highway because it pisses them off and they just end up speeding off or doing stunts in front of you because they feel antagonized. They're just committing traffic infractions and yet the cops chase them as if they just robbed a bank. Let it go.

No offense to the stunt bikers it's pretty cool but just do it in a parking lot please. I'm 13 and looking forward for when I get my motorcycle license but with you guys doing these things it ruins it for us because then there are going to be cops every where that when trying to pull are going to walk up behind you and shut your bike off because they know your going to run but if you just stop and be polite there is a pretty good chance they are going to let you off with a warning Also now when people will see bikers they will be scared that you are going to wheelie and crash into them. My point is is that don't do these things on public roads atleast do them where there isn't anyone around and don't ruin it for people like me Love al you bikers stay safe
