That thing pumping up two tires before recharging is pretty impressive!!

it ran for 20 minutes putting air in the truck - lost 20% charge maybe?

I was carrying a jump battery and a slime pump. I could power the slime pump off the jump battery. But I've since replaced the slime pump with a battery powered inflator very similar to what MG is showing here - mine is physically larger and has with more capacity, but the concept is exactly the same. Dont forget the tire plug kit and/or spare tube!

I carry a large and heavy tool roll even though I aspire to minimalist moto camping. I carry a stubby mountain bike tire pump which is very lightweight but it takes a lot of pumping to inflate a motorcycle tire. It really is for emergency use only. I've looked at a few of these lithium battery powered inflators and the design of the SyncWire seems much better than the others. Most can be used as a pump or a battery bank but not both. The SyncWire definitely has enough energy capacity to pump up a tire, inflate an air mattress and charge a phone and intercoms. I've shied away from power bank inflators because I didn't want to use the power bank then not have any power for an emergency air pump, and also because I didn't want to carry the large inflator in an easy to access location because it was also the power bank, but most moto campers will get daily use from the SyncWire, using it to charge many devices as well as inflating an air mattress every night.

Don; Good to hear from you. Yes, being able to fix a simple flat tire is a must unless you want to take the risk of a flat tire in a bad location like Death Valley, British Columbia or worse of all Yukon!! Get well soon!! You still owe me a ride out west!! God Bless

It looks good i have a small slime one that works but i like not having the cord.Many times I’ve aired up friends bikes that don’t have aux plug and had to use my bikes power.Nice to simply hand it to them and drink a beer while they do it themselves.

Carry AstroAI and plug kit. Had flat on the Florida turnpike during trip to Daytona last year. Unnerving. 😮 Plugged, air, on the road. The Astro from Amazon is waaaay bulky. But it’s saved me few times. Wish I’d known about this. I could’ve packed extra bee… er, soda.

It'd be great if the SyncWire could be carried somewhere that allowed it to charge while riding so you always arrive with a fully charged SyncWire, and even though it can't source enough current to jump start a dead battery, it'd be great if it could be used to put enough charge into a dead motorcycle battery in ten minutes to start the bike.

Jump-Pack / Tire Pump would be pretty cool, discharged the moto battery several times on the TAT - lucky I could always bump start it?

@@MotoGiant I've got a smallish lithium jump pack. Works fine on the suburban. 1000A 6.5"x3"x1.75" With a USB-C cord (both ends) it works as a power bank.

I have one, and I really like it. However, I’m so anal about weight, if I can shave an oz I’ usually will. I carry the V1 motor portable mini motorcycle compressor, which is basically a stripped down slime pump.

I've just got some Co2 cartridges and for where I live even that's overkill.
@MotoGiant2 ай бұрын
unless you pinch your tube? I once traveled with the cartridges too - very light, compact, but the what-ifs kept bothering me. I can patch a tube 20x with my kit, but could only blow the tube up a handful of times.

I have been wanting to try one of these units. I have a stripped down 12v that i made a custom metal housing for. It is powered via one of those optimate battery two pin connectors right from the battery so i can switch it between the handful of bike i have. I have done a total of 4 road side tube repairs/replacements . But i often air down for gravel and off hiway stuff. I wonder the durability of these units? Be nice to do a timed inflation on a specific tire/wheel. Than do 100 inflation cycles and see if the pump is still doing the job in a similar tine frame.

I think all these small pumps suffer the same flaw - LONG inflation times. Must be due to small volumes from the tiny pump?
@xtphreak2 ай бұрын
@@MotoGiant 👍low volume/high pressure Tiny piston Looking at the Aerostich compressor, I'd say the piston is probably bigger.

I just spent $100 on a "Halo" jump box only to realize a day later that they now make one with an included tire inflator for about $30 more.....day late and a dollar short?...lol I feel the money was well spent anyway considering it has usb ports and a 120v outlet too....they also make a $65ish version if you don't want the 120v outlet. My aunt and several cousins have had these for several years and absolutely swear by them....

You only have to use them a couple times to pay for themselves - and look at the time savings too?

@@MotoGiant absolutely, what convinced me to finally get one was that my old 74 Sportster had been having a fuel starvation issue that was completely random. It ended up with me sitting on the side of the road for a couple of hours at 98 degrees after I had finished my last bottle of water before heading home. After finding the issue and making the repair I found that my battery was nearly dead (sputter, stop, restart 4-5 times in 15 or so miles) and wouldn't turn the engine over......in the boonies with no cell service. Fortunately my cousin was on her way home from work and loaned me her Halo to get me going again....I ordered one that night.
