Did a Santander > Andorra > Roscoff bike trip in 2017. The treat was having a big fancy cabin on the Pont Aven (with access to the private lounge).....the cabin was superb and almost as big as my first flat in Torquay....went to find the unmarked private lounge and stepped back in time....apart from the dusty footsteps leading to the large stack of water bottles near the door, I'd guess no one had been in there for a year or two but great views from the panoramic window. Made for memorable start to a great trip.🍻🏍️💨💨👍

Your trip through customs was about 15-20mins faster than ours. We left Plymouth in bright sun, around the hottest day ever in the UK, arrived Santander in bright hot sun, by the time we'd reached the Picos it was cold and raining! I guess there is a reason it's called the green coast! 👍

I have a few questions about the bike. How was it loaded down? Was the front end light and what does the passenger say about the ride? From your perspective how does it handle? Whats it like in the rain? When you got of the boat you used some zip ties from a bmw rider was that for your bike?

Pre load set to full. Bike very stable and level. Passenger said the comfiest bike I've owned. Handle's ace like all modern tall tourers. Road Tech 01's solid in the rain. The cable tie were to re attach the Scottoiler feed to the chain on the underside of the swingarm, the sticky pad faied in the heat.

@@theloftybiker3090 thank you sir for your reply. I’ve had one chain driven bikes in I think 1986-1988. It’s probably why I never heard of them. I’ve ridden bikes for years and the riders just don’t talk about them. The ones I’ve had have all shaft or belt driven. Good new about the nc1100 it’s a bike I’m interested in. It looks like it can get the job don’t and is lighter than my hd ultra limited. Take care
