Watching you ride on Route 66 reminds me of a trip my wife and I did in 2018, when we rode on the Lincoln Highway from where we live in NJ to Milwaukee for Harley-Davidson’s 115th Anniversary bash. It was nice to ride on smaller roads and see the small towns along the way.

Born and raised in Illinois. And I now live in California. The people out here don’t believe me when I tell them you can have a drizzly rain that will last for days. Not the greatest to ride in but it keeps everything green. On the list of things you missed (save it for the next time) the Lincoln home and the Lincoln Tomb in Springfield are well worth the time. I am thoroughly enjoying your trip.

I would have to agree, the Lincoln home was very colorful and the town was quite interesting too!!

Raised in Chicago. Started exploring Illinois once I got a motorcycle. Nice to see places I've been. Out in California and it's motorcycle heaven, but I still miss Illinois.

Maybe that guy rides a Yamasaki.. Yeah that Bunyan giant is everywhere. We love this...as many times that we've ridden Route 66, we still haven't seen it all. Mmmm Breakfast looks good. Many many things to see and do on Route 66. Continue to "Get Your Kicks".

One year going cross country from the east coast to the west I hit as many restaurants from the TV show "Diners, Drive ins and Dives" ( They listed them on their website ) as I could and it was really good with only a couple misses.... Have fun guys .....

Craig, when you get to Flagstaff, Mother Road Brewery for fine craft beer. Then Satchmo’s BBQ. Yes, New Orleans style BBQ! Catfish fillets are top shelf. Travel safe!

Looks great so far ! Nice way to travel.... actually see and enjoy local sites, not just banging out interstate miles which is often necessary but brutal and tiring... not fun.

We are on one of those interstate segments right now. Not much between Santa Fe and Holbrook, AZ. Heading into Petrified Forest today.

The only Paul Bunyan statue I've ever seen is the one on Highway 101 in redwood country of northern California. That one is 49' tall, and he's accompanied by his blue ox Babe. I guess his size is appropriate considering the size of the trees up there! Be safe out there!

Hmm.. you two seem to be having a good time but a Rt 66 tour is not one I'd be interested in. For me this tour is too many "stops" and not enough interesting riding. When I'm out on the road I just want to be off the beaten path and keeping the wheels turning as much as possible.

Variety is the spice of life. We will have plenty of great roads over the course of this trip; it is just getting started.

@@LivingOffTheSlab .. When I want spice in life I go for Ghost Peppers.... 😉 Oh... and no worries, I'll watch the rest of the tour series, I just like your vids.
