Motorcycle trip to the Cotswolds by BMW 1250 GSA and Triumph Tiger 900 - Ep 2

This final episode sees us leave the magnificent Manor House Hotel on a blistering day. It was such a special place we definitely want to return at some point. Today's destination takes us further north in the Cotswolds to the iconic and quirky Broadway Tower. The Tower is the highest pointing the Cotswolds and was built in 1798 using many different architectural styles. Each floor is filled with beautiful Georgian furnishings and the view from the top stunning on a clear day. We had intended to visit the Nuclear Bunker as well but there was no availability until the following day, so after the Tower we headed for an overnight stay at The Crow Hotel in the village of Blockley only a few miles away.
The Crown was an interesting place - a bit different to The Manor! It was run by a group of Sri Lankan friends and fortunately for us the night we arrived was Curry Night, so a perfect opportunity to sample some authentic Sri Lankan curries and they were excellent!
The next day saw us return to Broadway for our pre booked Nuclear Bunker experience. It was a fascinating and grim reminder of the reality of life during the Cold War, well worth a visit if you're in the area.

On my tour of the UK I stayed at the Crown Hotel. I ended up with a room that was three rooms. A bedroom, a bathroom and another room with very comfy chairs and settee and tv. This room led out onto a patio area. Again like you I didn't drink the Guinness but I went for the Cider. I wasn't there on the curry night but the food was still very good.

Just catching up on my subscriptions after returning from our Canaries cruise so was pleased to see your vlog, as good a vlog as ever and enjoyed the ride. Never too old to own a motorcycle I took delivery of a Ducati Scrambler the day before we flew to Tenerife to join the ship but was a little sorry to see my 1972 Honda CB450 K5 go in P/X, I never realised there were so many innovations on a modern bike, I'd completely lost track of the improvements after only riding Japanese classics for the last twenty years. Ride safe.

We love the Cotswolds. Unfortunately lots of other people do and it does get busy. We skipped the bunker as well, not sure how well I would have fitted down that access shaft 😬 Curry looked great but pubs/hotels that don't do real ale!!! My Uncle was in ROC, went into bunker near Bridlington a couple of times. He once fired the emergency siren off. That cleared the ear wax 😂.

Great video, and some lovely sights, but for me, there's too much 'generic' or royalty free music and not enough talky bits... Some intercom narrative, or talking in place of the minutes and minutes of uninterrupted video gets a little bit tedious. Don't get me wrong, you visited some lovely places and showed some fantastic sights, but doing the narrative _over_ the video in place of the royalty free music would, in my opinion, be far more entertaining.
