Great video! That looked like a lot of fun! I was looking at a VanVan 200, for the first time ever, just yesterday. It took me back to simpler days when I would 'adventure bike' (we just called it "ride" back then) on my 1972 Honda XL-250. The world needs more basic motorcycles like that: mechanically simple with seats low enough for normal people. We used to think 5" of suspension was plenty and it actually is so there's no compelling reason to have a 36" seat height on an enduro. All of that being said, it would be really good if the VanVan had a big brother. Perhaps a VanVan 350? A little more oomph for those big hills would be nice.

Van-van was DEFINITELY the better choice. I probably would've gone with a CRF250L, the fancy one. By the way, did you guys remember to deflate your tires when you went offroad? That would make the Van-van into a BEAST on those roads. (and would also help out the pig) Ari could've at least had a 1 man tent. The reason it feels like a commercial - is because it basically is a commercial. who do you think lends them the bikes? If they shit talk the manufactures, they burn bridges, and stop being invited to luxurious European test rides. It's a win win, manufactures get advertising, and reviewers are given bikes to "review", expensive holidays and media content like KZbin videos and magazines that make them money.

Just "It's a fun silly little joke bike lol look how crappy and silly it is!..." No thanks. I actually want a Van Van, I'd like an actual review please. How does it ride? How does it handle? Is it a good commuter, or a city bike.. is it fast enough for short jumps on the highway? How are the ergonomics? Is loud? Or is it quiet enough for fun midnight rides without waking the neighborhood? Is it easy to learn on, or learn to work on? Fuel efficiency? Range per tank? Parts availability? ... We get none of this, just jokes about how it's a fun baby bike for babies and if you buy one you're just as much a joke as it is... not cool. Not everyone needs or wants 1200cc or wants a 600lb beast of a bike to learn on. Some people just want to cruise around locally and enjoy riding a small bike. It really sucks I can't find a single decent review of this bike, because I like it alot and really want one.

@@phoebemchugh388 Me too, I'm really looking forward to it. I'm getting the grey Van Van 200, probably an 18-19 to save money. No need to get the 2020. There isn't much info available on it, but from what I've seen I've fallen in love with it. It seems like a fun bike, and more than enough for me to get around town. Do you use yours for commuting? Have you taken it on any longer distance trips? Because I'm curious to know if it's comfortable to ride for longer periods of time, I have a few friends an hour or more away lol

Brilliant! I did notice Zack's luggage seemed to downsize after camping. My guess is that it's on the unseen vehicle :) Love that little Van Van too!

Wait a second....the Van Van is $4600? What crack are they smoking? Wtf....you could buy a Ninja 400 with that kind of money and take it offroading lol. KZbin JoeyMac420 on a Ninja 300...extremely talented

I used to take my derelict Ninja 400 off-roading! Maybe with some knobblies it would be alright, but the steep rake made it impossible to trust on anything slippery

Absolutely LOVED this, fellas! You do really, REALLY brilliant work for this channel, guys! Zack - a lesser man would have tumbled that Multi when the back swung that first time on the way down that steep pitch near the top of that hill! NICE WORK!

Impressive! But even in 1988 when I bought my BMW R100GS I found it really difficult to find dirt roads anywhere in So CA. Which is why they had to make it an overnight trip, I guess. Looks like a blast!

Might I suggest a good old Australian Army hootchy poncho, you can wear it as a poncho when wet. You can clip it together with a buddies (or several buddies) hootchy's, and you can tie the loops with shock cord to trees to vastly increase interior space. If you are clever, you can use slender branches and bend them through the hootchy loops and make extraordinarily spacious and versatile geodesic (almost) forms. You can also cut (or borrow) some poles, run them I parallel, and then wrap your groundsheet over them to make a stretcher that gets you off the ground... very important. You can also use a trenching tool to run a little ditch on upslope sides to sluice water away. Can make all the difference between a mild discomfort when it rains/dews to full on soaked to the skin for days. Just takes 30 min. tops, once you are prepared. Makes me nostalgic for the spartan aspect of it all, doing really well with very little is a very satisfying way to comport yourself in the bush...

Did Zack pull out a machete on the road? Don’t you, like, get the death penalty in Commifornia for doing something like that?
