I rode the RS660 a week ago, and now am waiting for the arrival of the Tuono 660 here in British Columbia - after your test ride and comments, I am leaning toward the Tuono, and will get one or the other, at the end of the month. 14:30 first of all, not true. i've done my fair share of going over the speed limit on mine... the mirrors do vibrate, but they're still entirely useable. second of all, when you're going that fast, you're leaned forward and you can't really see out of your mirrors anyway, so it's a moot point. you have to lean back and to the side a bit to even see out of them at higher speeds. when i'm going that fast, i go into a sort of track mode and just assume anyone else weaving through traffic faster than me and coming up from behind is responsible for avoiding me; not the other way around.

@MrArmorcat3 жыл бұрын
Cost of ownership will almost aways be higher with an european motorcycle when you compare it with the japanese competition. The trident should sit between the tuono and the cbr. Reliability is a bit tricky since this is an all new motorcycle (even a new engine). In what universe is this a naked bike??? It has almost as much plastic as the RS model with the sides cut out to show more engine, but the fairing goes down to the oil pan! Jesus. The fact that it has a faired headlight means it's not naked. Also, the engine is detuned from the RS. The RS has 100hp. Even given that on the Dyno it'll probably be closer to 92-94hp, that's more than you got out of the Tuono at 78! That said, it's a very expensive Ninja 650, or Yamaha R7 for that matter. Call it what it is - an upright, detuned RS. NOT a naked by any stretch of the imagination. Your review is lacking. You didn't show nor mention what's under the passenger pillion... On both the Tuono and the RS. Also, buyers should know to lower the front end of the Tuono version as it sits too high and thus the front end does not bite the pavement like it should. Check out the Dave Moss video on this bike on how to tune the suspension properly. Adding the quick shifter and IMU and saying it's still $400 cheaper than the RS? The suspension difference is worth at least that much, let alone the horsepower difference. I'd rather buy the RS, and if I wanted it more uptight I'd buy the Tuono upper triple tree and a set of Renthals. First on the agenda though is a set of adjustable control levers because the stock ones suck! You're not getting either model off the showroom floorwith for under $12,000 and for that price, for a bike that has cruise control, it's a HUGE oversight not to come stock with adjustable levers... Shame, shame.
