I have the Tour Pro 82! I did have an issue were the dongle update bricked my unit, BUT MotorGuide was amazing and replaced my unit!!! I did the update even though my motor never had an issue, anyway it really is an awesome unit! I love it , it’s quiet like really quiet! It integrates amazingly well with both my Lowrance Elite FS 9’s. Love the remote as well, I didn’t think I would use as much as I do but it’s great! The anchor mode on is great! It will literally hold me in one spot forever!!!

Will a high-thrust transom motor jack knife a 14-foot aluminum boat even if set to the slowest speed, I need the higher trust for my river fishing, but I also need a slow speed for casting and trolling in lakes I just don't want to go airborne. I will mostly be using it for bass fishing in the Columbia in Oregon with heavy current, but I do not need a trolling motor that goes faster than I need it to when set to a low setting. But once again, I need a motor that has at least 70 LB thrust for the heavy current and running tide at times without the airtime. 14 foot aluminum boat

I grew up in a 14' Aluminum and all we used were electric TM. back in the day 30 to 40 pounds thrusts was all we had. 70 to even the 109 MG would be awesome for a 14' boat and it will fly. The only reason you would jack knife is if you put it on hi and let go the handle. also they all have variable speeds. while sitting in place you can back troll and it works great. Hope this helps

Great video. Some very helpful info here, thanks. I've only had the new tour pro for almost 2 weeks and had it out twice so far. I love it, but both times, it took well over an hour for the motor to find a gps signal. Does anyone know if this is a common issue or if there is an easy fix?

Thanks for watching. I do find that I loss GPS up in the mountains at my local lakes. seems like the places I do not get cell service is about the same places I loss GPS. Doesn't happen a lot but a few times. When I set up mu TM I make sure I am in open water with flat land if possible. the more satellites that you have connected helps when you get in the places that have more mountains. When I calibrate my TM I do it 3 times to connect to as many satellites as [ossoble. this may help you as well. Hope this helps

Hi i have a problem with my NMEA, Point 1 heading with Motorguide Tour Pro on same network Accurate heading data from a networked Point 1 antenna is lost when a Motorguide Tour Pro TM is connected via NMEA on the same network. Heading data from the Point 1 sent over the network to connected Lowrance units is accurate when the trolling motor node is removed. When the TM node is added back to the network, the Point 1 shows as "invalid" in the vessel/heading data source settings and does not provide useful heading data. Do you have any idea what I should do? Thanks for your answer.

Question for ya, I just bought a MG Tour Pro and I noticed when the motor is stowed the Power Light (Blue LED) and the Battery light (Green) blink together when it's stowed. Is that normal? I can't find any information on this anywhere. I wish you woulda showed the USB thing you were holding closer. I saw your lights blink like mine but yours stopped blinking I think, can't tell your camera is so far away. I wish you woulda got closer. My LED's never stop blinking. If you take power away from the motor to stop the blinking don't you have to recalibrate it every time you get on the water?

ProAm Bass , Just talked to MG today and asked. The new MG has the updated revision H software and it adds a blink to the system. So the status light blinks to indicate when the motor has power applied but is in the stow position. When I get off the water, I unplug my unit so I do not have any power draw, FYI. Hope this helps.

@@thebbztv dood you are awesome, ive been asking the question everywhere and even tried to call MG. So dont you have to recalibrate it then every time you go fishing? The GPS, the heading etc…? I can just trip my dedicated trolling motor breaker every time but i dont want to have to spin my boat in circles twice and do that 3 times every time before i go fishing. LoL
@thebbztv
@thebbztv 2 жыл бұрын
@@proambass8027 Nope, you are good to go if you power down. This will keep the system from trying to find and connect satellites from your garage. When you go back to the lake, power or plug in and you are good to go. The only time I recalibrate is when I go to a different lake if its over 60 miles, but with my lakes here it stays pretty accurate. IF I go from here to Havasu in AZ I might recalibrate, but so far this thing has been doing great everywhere I am going. Plug and play buddy!!!! BIll

I'm disappointed. My GPS takes over an hour to find a signal then loses it every 30 seconds. None of the warranty repair shops within 70 miles of me are willing to work on it. They all say it's a nightmare. I've had the motor for almost a year now and can't use any of the $2,500 features that made me want this motor. I don't know war to do. It's depressing thinking about it!

@@briancooper7647 call MG to see if your motherboard is good. I have had one person that had a hard time getting gps to link and it was an older motherboard. Once replaced it worked perfect. Open the top of your unit and get the serial number and your unit number under the foot pedal and try that. 👍
