Great setup... Shows the difference between the men and the boys...The price of the toys... Awesome rig, much to envy and copy. Thanks for sharing.

What’s the little lowrance white puck on the front starboard side? You passed over it.
@andrewmconrad3 жыл бұрын
Lowrance point 1. It keeps the direction of your bow oriented with your gps

nice work w/ the yak power switch - do you have to unplug that from the battery to prevent constant draw, or does it not draw anything when switched off ?
@andrewmconrad4 жыл бұрын
It'll kill the batteries for sure, so I unplug them after every outing

@@andrewmconrad thx for that - why the NMEA 2k ?
@andrewmconrad4 жыл бұрын
For the point1. It orients the bow with the gps.

What leash is that for the drive? Thanks for sharing.
@andrewmconrad4 жыл бұрын
If the drive isn't locked in or I flip it won't be lost. $25 leash vs $800 drive

Quick question how do you get your yakattack rod holders onto your rails
@andrewmconrad4 жыл бұрын
Hobie H-rail mighty mount. Be careful, there are two. There's the older one with flat sides and then there's a newer one with notches on sides to accommodate the new yakattack base

Torn between the pa 12 and 14. I want to go offshore also
@andrewmconrad4 жыл бұрын
I haven't heard of many people with a 14 wish they got a 12, but there are many people who got a 12 wish they got a 14. The 14 is wider by 2 inches and longer by 20 versus the 12. For offshore I would like it to be wider and longer. But a lot of people love the outback for offshore
@richardbrown9864 жыл бұрын
@@andrewmconrad how is the 14 when paddling, does it come with longer paddles ?
@andrewmconrad4 жыл бұрын
Not gonna lie, it's not the easiest to paddle because of it's width. To use the fins you need about 18" of water. If you're launching from a boat ramp it's usually deep enough, front a kayak launch or a beach, you have to paddle a little bit until it's deep enough
