Hi both enjoying your videos and can concur about Luz and Lagos which is a favourite area of the Algarve for us in the winter. We head straight for Turiscampo in Jan for a couple of weeks to relax away from the UK winter weather and generally stay a couple of weeks. Turiscampo is a fabulous base and they arrange a hire car for us to explore some favourite places like beautiful Loule for the Saturday market. After Luz we head for Tavira another favourite place, then in to Spain. We love Portugal and have done much of the west coast on our way down South. Enjoy your travels ! 😊

My brain cannot cope watching Santa Clause on a Golf Buggy in a warm climate in the middle of January 😂 very impressed how green it is out there. You could have been on the East Sussex Downs in some of that video.

Not sure whether I felt colder here in the UK because of the sunshine there, or whether your sunshine actually made me feel warmer!! .... or perhaps it was my beer(s) that made me confused. Nice to see that at the end of a walk, the reward always seems a table at an open air cafe!! Thank you for the update, and yes, it was nice to see the sunshine; you probably made us all very jealous.

I have been dreaming of visiting Portugal for a very long time. Even my co-worker, who is from Lisbon, always describes it as South America in Europe haha. So watching this video brings me extra motivation to plan it this year and visit. Lovely look at Luz & Lagos. When I went down to Lagos (twice, while living in Peniche) I had not remembered the Madeleine McCann story… I’d heard of it, like most people in the world, but when I visited in 2016 & 2017, I wasn’t really aware of ‘where’ it took place. Portugal wasn’t on my radar, at all, when that poor little girl was stolen from her family. After all these years, they appear to have found a viable suspect but do not know where she is. Heartbreaking. I’m glad that when I was there I had no sense of that, so my judgement was in no way impaired and I thoroughly enjoyed my visits… did you get to Sagres? Now that is a place to behold!

We agree , we weren’t planned to be there at Christmas either , our 90 day plan originally saw us being back in Norfolk by mid December , but we caught Covid and had to push back the trip by a month. I am thinking that a couple or a double blow up canoe would be good on you travels. Somthing like the Itiwit range from Decathlon. In the 3 man we easily get myself, her indoors and our dog also called Poppy.
