Motorised Hawker Tempest F-2 PR533 G-TEMT 1/72

So I saw a video on youtube of the maiden flight of this aircraft after it's restoration a couple of weeks ago. It looked fantastic I have to say.
Straight after I went looking for a model kit to build it. I soon found a decal set and a complete kit were available so I went for the complete kit.
I haven't made any kits from KP in the past as I always thought of them as not very good. This one is not bad. It does some things so well as you would expect from a modern new tool kit but it also does some things not so well and is a bit lacking..
Anyway I still liked it and might venture into the world of KP models again in the future as I see they do some unusual and different subjects...

Outstanding. My next kit is the SBD Dauntless, and after watching your videos, I have to put a motor in it. Thank you for the inspiration. How do you keep them from taking off? I'm worried it will fly across the room and smash into the wall.

Thanks very much Robert.... I got plans to do an SBD,Corsair and Hellcat in the future...in 1/72 ofcourse.. (Keep it from taking off)...I usually use a small resistor to slow the prop down...but on this occasion I didn't have one...If you checkout one of my helicopter videos (chinook) you'll see... What resistor is used depends on the prop size and what motor is used.. i.e. 4mmx8mm or 6mmx12mm...also what power is used...1.5v or 3v etc...you have to test and see...there is no one size fits all.... Hope this helps
