Hi Rachit - Excellent video! Minor correction : The lane assist works with camera only (mounted on windscreen). Radar needs objects to detect and it cannot detect unmarked lanes.

Exactly. Lane features purely use camera, Radar cannot see lane markings at all. During snow, rain this needs to be avoided, some cars disable Adas automatically in such situations.

Hi, Radar isn't used to detect lane marking - it is only done using Camera! Radar is used primarily for collision warning

Whats the purpose of this test if its done on almost open highways?? Do it in places like purana Delhi or near Marathalli, Bangalore in busy traffic hour. In highways, I am an alert driver who enjoys open wide roads. I dont need ADAS there ! The video looks and sounds like a mahindra propaganda/paid video!

Radar does not read lane lines. Being a well known KZbin auto journalist, please don’t provide wrong info. All radar does is object detection. It can’t detect or see lane lines. Lane line detection is only by camera feedback.

Adrenox is a very lousy software. On paper it's good but practically it's experience is very bad. Remote connectivity doesn't work half the time and when it works also, it takes very long time. Maps is practically useless. They have given a Vodafone sim which has very poor connectivity. Adrenox crashes many times and at that time it's camera will not work, no matter what you do. Overall it's a very shoddy software to use and looks more like work in progress rather than a finished product.

ADAS is awesome but I feel people may take too much risk as well. For example : My car creta has hill assist, but when it completetely stopped on a slope, due to clutch not properly pressed, it didnt worked, but works if the car is in motion. Not sure if we should believe too much on technology and start taking risk, thinking ADAS will save us for sure

ADAS helps because it is meant to and designed to help/assist. But Indian drivers should practice better driving habits. People drive the cars carelessly and cause accidents even when not drunk. Sleeping off while driving is even worse. Speeding doesn't help in any way. If it is an emergency still then you must know the capabilities of your car and have good road awareness. Good driving skills can avoid you hitting other objects. Road awareness can help you avoid careless drivers. Be responsible, Drive safe. Technology doesn't assure you your safety because they have limitations.
