Hazard lamps are used for stationary vehicles. In case of accident or heavy braking, vehicles automatically turn on hazards so other people on road can understand that car is now a hazard. Majority of accidents in fog happens because vehicles collide in an stationary one, because we think that hazards are on and vehicle is moving.

Two additional points, where drivers must take care: 1. Not to use high beam when other vehicles are present on the road. Even the drivers in front are distracted due to the reflections in mirrors. 2. Using the headlight level control and correctly adjusting the headlight focus when the vehicle is loaded with goods or passengers. The law should force all OEMs to provide automatic headlight levelling instead of the manual levelling switch which is currently mandatory. Dear Gagan, please try to lobby with your fellow automotive vloggers and auto journalists. You people have the power to make the change.

Adas in these situations is life changing and life saving never thought of this till now. Even if you’re not using adaptive cruise control. The auto brake will assist you by detecting collision. Thank you gagan sir🙏🏻

Thats an Amazing feature for fog and night drives. I didn't think about this use-case. Really amazing & actually works flawlessly. Atleast Emergency braking is very useful in this scenario. Lane marking may not be available everywhere. 👍👍👍

Yes, but instead of panoramic sunroof(most useless feature) cars should give ADAS , lane assist, 360° parking cams these all are useful actually most important features for any car whose length is above 4.3 meter! length!

Sir, I drove in similar or worse fog condition and trust me the HAZARD LIGHTS were the only thing that I was able see of the front vehicle in my lane, no red light was visible during heavy fog. Nice Video, loved the ADAS of Mahindra XUV 700.

REAR FOG LIGHTS, where required or permitted, are RED in colour and offer many seconds of extra warning over even amber hazard-warning lamps. The global design rule for the function is UNECE 38. Where required under national regulation, (to that global spec), some vehicles will have twin rear fog lamps, and others a single rear fog lamp on the driver-side. The switch symbols are globally uniform. I note in this vid, one vehicle running both the hazard lights and twin rear fog lights, which of course appear brighter. If you have a rear fog light, the hazard warning lights should be kept off, reserved for crash and breakdown situations.
