Very clear and concise video, well done! This helped me with disassembly to remove water from my phone after it was put in the washer. Unfortunately then I had to replace my screen after I had mistakenly put two of the main board screws in before putting on the main cover. I did not over tighten, but just from going in further they had pushed against the copper backing on the screen and caused it to become unusable. Expensive mistake.

Hello, hope you'll answer to my comment! What's the concentration of the isopropyl alcohol you used to take the battery out? Its not mentioned in the item description

The one I use is : www.ifixit.com/products/ifixit-adhesive-remover?variant=39915173740647 and usually you want to go with a high concentration so it evaporates quick and doesn't linger around to cause any issues. Most people will go with 95 or 99% if I'm not mistaken.

Hi most likely it is a software issue, and from what I have read, there is an update they are working to release soon to address that problem. Not sure exactly when the update will be released.

No, internal memory is a ROM chip which is soldered to the main board and not user removable.

Hi, the mid frame is metal but has a plastic boarder. You can see in the video when everything is disassembled, the grey/silver parts are the aluminum and the edges where its a greenish color is where the plastic border begins.

correct. It does however have an aluminum block on the processor as well as thermal pad and thermal paste with graphene and copper heat transfer tape.

Yeah, you can remove just the sub board (which contains the USB port) without having to take apart the top cover and motherboard etc. But it's always best to remove the top cover and disconnect the battery cable to reduce any chance of shorting something.

Usually most service centers will have the complete screen assembly with frame pre installed. OEMs do it that way to make it faster when replacing/repairing. I prefer it that way as well but its more costly also.

@@PBKreviews yeah since my device is under warranty it's fine but the cost they mentioned is 60% the actual cost of the mobile. It's ₹ 17000. The display comes along with the frame itself.

most screen replacement assembly come with the midframe pre attached, so all you would need aside from that would be the back battery door cover plate I would assume.
