Just wanted to follow up and say I finally replaced it last night. Thanks for this video! I bought a kit off amazon and the instructions said to KZbin how to replace it. I wish I had found your video first! I ended up having to buy the glue and the tool to get under the battery. What took me the longest was removing the battery. I was scared I was going to break it and it would explode in my face. My husband said that it wouldn't, and I finally got confident enough to heat that sucker up and get it out. I break my phones often, I'm just so prone to shattering them even with a screen protector! After all the time and effort, the replacement took, I think I'll be extra careful with it. However, when I eventually break it again, I will be back to purchase from you!

So after following your instructions step by step, my screen is good, but my phone keeps dropping calls. I use T-Mobile and they want me to replace the phone with zero support and of course this is my work phone where I support multiple hospitals remotely. Any suggestions as to the default settings for the mobile network? I was building computers in the 90s and have replaced phone batteries in the past, so my tech is OK

If you just replace the screen only the new might’ve damaged the cable connector under the battery. If you remove the motherboard you could’ve disconnected something

@@TechMDKZbin nope, didn't so that. did not do anything you didn't do here. the signal came and went and came and went, now it's gone. went to the TMobile store and the guy there turned off and back on the Mobile Data button and the phone saw the service after that, then it it eventually went away. Additionally everything on the phone works just fine including the Wi-fi connection which should rule out the motherboard which i did not remove. Again I followed your you instructions to the tee

My phone got a.small amount. Of moister due to a humidifier. I tried to.turn it.off asap by it went to the reset. Mode and got lines in the screen. I put it in rice for 3 days now I have a black screen and nothing is working

Glass laminating machines are expensive. but the earnings are good. since the cost of a crystal is $ 1US and with practice the crystal change takes approximately 2 hours

Go to settings, below "About Phone" you will see "moto g play (2021)". If yours does not display this under "About Phone, select "About Phone" and under Device name, you will see which version you have.

The whole process does not look fun. I bought a case for g power which is similar internally to this phone and thought I wait a couple of years and get a cracked phone and fix it up. Now I learn moto only give it one os update and it is such a pain to do the repair, it is not worth it. I got a Samsung Galaxy instead since they support their phones with 4yrs of updates.

Tip from expert phone destroyer. Don't buy ANY phone that does not have a removable battery. When your battery reaches it's end of life, your phone is dead too. The manufacturers are seeking force you to buy a new phone.

Dude 120c is way to much heat. I use 82c on my heat plate and that does the job just fine.

Also try using some 90% (or higher) isopropyl alcohol to loosen battery adhesive to prevent bending it while pulling it. It helps to use a bit for the back glass aswell. I'm working on one now with display with frame assembly right now.
