Another missed opportunity by Motorola in my opinion. Even HMD’s new Pulse series uses pulltabs for the battery unlike “glue-it-down without handy pulltabs” Motorola.

I already bought it... Was waiting for disassembly video... 😂 Vapour chamber is quite big. And the metal frame conducts the heat directly to outside into your hands. Anyways, better to release heat outside than to cook inside like my Samsung did and turned screen green line mode on and also cooked everything in 5 m radius as soon as I turned on 5G...😂

thank u for this video, i bought this phone some days ago and wanted to know how it looks beneath, but i have a question, right under the power button there is hole, what's that for? is it a mic? if it is a mic where is it's contact pads? one thing to mention that moto did not designed the primary min hole properly, it can get punctured and the IP 68 rating will damage

It's a 3rd mic Probably It helps in Audio Zoom when you zoom in video recording. And don't worry about any materialistic tool too much. It will get replaced in 3 years anyway. Focus on how to use it properly with whatever u have.

You're welcome. You're right I did not notice that. It is an additional mic and is most likely connected via the flex cable for the power button and volume keys. Since I didn't pry off the screen (to avoid damaging it), I didn't notice that additional mic hole.

The uv glue is went inside primary microphone and it stopped working and then the shopkeeper inserted the pin there to remove blockage happen by glue now its working fine but will it affect the water protection ?😢

And the main thing is the waterproof gasket is at 90° to the hole i.e. even if u poke something in the chamber has a 90° bend to the chamber and in that perpendicular chamber there's water gasket which is impossible to puncture even if u pole something in

If someone pokes the sim ejector pin in the mic area will the IP rating get affected? And how to know whether the water shield got damaged or not ? While looking via torch I found the mic hole at 90° and no mesh around

The secondary mic on top, no it won't get damaged or affected. The primary one on bottom, the filter/gasket is seated against the frame, so the rubber gasket/filter could get damaged possibly, but not the mic since the mic is seated below and would not get damaged.

I just bought one, and a little bit of uv tempere glue went inside the ear piece speaker. Although no effect on the sound, I'll still take it to service centre. I don't know much about phone. Will they change the ear piece speaker? Will it cost too much? Should I keep using it as it is?

If its the bottom one, you wont damage the mic but can damage the rubber gasket/mesh filter for the mic. But if its the top mic hole, then you have no issues.

No because this ones battery has 2 connectors not one. Also usually there are minor size differences in the size of the battery physically which might make it not fit in the battery compartment.
