do you have to replace the screen entirely with the LCD screen? or can you only change the glass and reuse the LCD?

Ya have to buy the digitizer already attached. Powerful adhesive & equipment combines them, w/no means to separate. Never buy just the screen....that's sellers scamming uninformed ppl, or selling to those who can professionally attach a new digitizer to the glass.

I've done whatever I needed to do , however my screen isn't turning on. I saw a crease on the connector, is that the reason? or is it my phone?

Connector cable of the digitizer or the circuit board of the phone? Flip the circuit board and check the connector cable of it; if it doesn't seem off, then it's If that kind of thing occurs on the digitizer's cable, it's best to have the seller exchange it. Mine ended up with a crease, but I'm not sure if it was my doing or not. My new screen worked, so perhaps bending it back gently or flattening it with a q-tip will help. It also depends how firm the crease is. If it's enough to almost make it cut split with some pulling, then don't bend it back. Tho unlikely, try to reattach the screen to the clamping adapter again since it could easily be partly detached in the delicate process. Sliding/scraping the end of the cable into the clamp as much as possible before pressing the clamp back down. I'm not sure if it could be your phone. If you could exchange the screen digitizer and the same thing occurs, then it may be the phone.

I got my screen replaced by an official service, and now it is popping off! not completely, but even the proximity sensor takes it as something foreign and things like moto display don't work unless I press the screen down. Is this normal? fixable? thanks in advance

can I get a link to the tape you used? I was searching for 1mm VBS tape online and it was all super expensive. Is there an alternative? I don't care how jank it looks as long as it stays together and the screen works. I could use super glue for all I care.

My moto G3 powers ON but its just white blank screen which keeps going off and come ON. I can blindly switch it off as I know where exactly the "power off" shows up on the screen. I tried charging for half an hour but nothing happened. It powers ON, I can hear it ring when I call my own number from another phone but just can't see anything on the screen but that white blank screen. Any idea what would have happened? I dropped it on the hard bed at a distance of 1.5 Feet and this stupid thing happened.

Depends.. If Motorola fixed it, it would definitely be. But if you want to do it by yourself like this mate here, it wont. So no. AND Moto G3 is water RESISTANT NOT PROOF. There is a difference

you can find the foam adhesive frame sticker for this model on eBay. Lay it in place (knocking out the appropriate holes via another short tutorial vid on YT) going up the edge 1/2 a millimeter so it blocks out everything outside, put the screen on, place a semi heavy soft cushioned weight, and heat gun the glass edges for a while. Then keep the weight on it for 10-30min. If it's loose, try again. I dunno if VHB tape will work cause I just reuse the black frame sticker kept in one piece, instead of tear it off in pieces. If I get the tape, I'd put layers if the first layer doesn't seal it tight.
